Jenna would unsurprisingly pick the choice with most meat, she would let Oliver to pay, though she was ready to pay herself too. "This whole thing makes me kinda miss my friends, though at the same time, the rich people talk was kinda shallow, that's not something I miss."

"I can understand," Oliver said, ordering his own food and paying for both of them. "Rich talk doesn't sound all that fun for anyone, let alone a dragon. But I can help you find people to talk to if I get too boring," he joked.

Jenna smiled "Don't worry, if you get boring, I'll just talk to myself."  she joked back "Or I'll just tease you more, your reactions are adorable." she grinned, she liked the contrast Oliver gave her, sure his lack of decisions could be slightly frustrating at times, but his submissive nature was also endearing to her, and it made her feel like she could be more vulnerable too without judgment.

Oliver blushed and rolled his eyes, but felt himself smiling. It was good to see Jenna could take a joke.

"Well in that case, I've got nothing to lose then," he said, directing his smile toward her.

Jenna smiled as she sat down to a table "I do wonder if things would be like this if we met in different circumstances." she said thoughtfully "Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I like you just because of something specific about the situation, it's more that, how different would I be as an individual?" "What is a rebel without something to rebel against, you know?" what would she have ended up like if she could have just lived her life peacefully with her rich friends?

"Well, you wouldn't nearly die for one," Oliver joked, sitting down across the table from Jenna. "I'd probably still be at home doing nothing special, so all this is definitely a real change of pace for me."

"Or would I?" Jenna asked "That's kinda the thing I wonder, am I the result of what has happened to me, or would I somehow get myself in similar situation if it didn't?" she smiled "It's pointless to think about I know, but at the same time, is it?" "I mean, if this ever ends, can I handle normal life?"

"I think you could," Oliver assured her, giving her a smile back. "I mean you've been doing it pretty well today. In fact you seem to even be enjoying living a normal life. I think you'll be just fine when this is all over."

"I mean, I'm constantly looking over my shoulder, metaphorically." Jenna pointed out "How long will it take to unlearn the constant feeling of being in danger?"

In a TV close to them came up Breaking news, sound were off, but thanks to text it could be understood that it was talking about plane accident, apparently a plane had crashed in a small village with no survivors, but there was no footage of a plane or the village, just footage from outside the village, showing smoke rising from the woods, and oddly, the area around the village was full of authorities, and not only the one's you'd expect, there were also individuals from organizations like FBI. Jenna seemingly ignored the news until the feed changed to a press conference where the head of some air crash investigation bureau was talking, it was a woman. "I know her." Jenna stated "She's a dragon." "That isn't a plane crash, Talon is covering up something, what have they done?" her positive demeanor changed to a frightened one, this was unusually public behavior from Talon, it wasn't a good sign.

Oliver watched the TV as well, noting how uncomfortable Jenna had gotten.

"If they're being this blatant, they might be desperate for some reason," he guessed. "Maybe they're looking for something really important."

"Desperate or confident, doesn't really matter, taking this kind of risk is bad news." Jenna said, speaking bit more quietly now for obvious reasons, taking out the phone she used to interact with the 'ally' and writing a message "Not only did they destroy a village, whatever they did is such that they have brought everyone, you saw those various members of different organizations, my guess is they all are working for them." "They know this would rise suspicion, so they got everyone that would look into it involved themselves to make sure only their people are there." she put the phone away, she gave a fake smile at the staff member that brought them their food and continued after they were gone "Something has changed, why would an organization that for thousands of years has worked in the shadows suddenly change their ways like this." "We probably need to stay put for awhile, no doubt the Order will also be on high alert after this, they are not stupid, they will know this was Talon, it's better to be in a city than keep moving"

Oliver smiled and thanked the server for the food, and nodded at Jenna. "Yeah, with so many people around here, we'll be hard to find. And even if they did, they wouldn't risk hurting this many people, right?"

"It's less about hurting and more about staying in the shadows, they would happily nuke a city full of humans if it didn't harm them in any way." "They are species supremacists, humans are to them like farm animals are to you, slaves at best, worthless at worst."  Jenna pointed out, bit cold, but it was the truth "But you're not wrong, we are the safest among as many people as possible, it's easier to hide, and assuming they haven't gone fully off the deep end, they are unlikely to attack crowds." She ate a bit "If they have gone that far, well, we can only hope the universe is on our side."

Oliver certainly didn't like the idea of being treated like cattle. "Well for now, I don't think they'd risk an attack on such a huge public place. That's just begging for retaliation from the army or something."

Actually now that Jenna thought about it, cattle was probably a bad comparison, since at least humans had animal rights groups and some laws protecting animals, thus cattle was better treated that humans would under Talon, after all, they were talking about a group that was ready to kill its own kind just because they didn't agree on certain things. "The Order is lot bigger threat than any national military, you can't really have the correct preparations for fighting something you don't know exists, and Talon probably has people in high places giving them lot of intel." "And remember, attack isn't necessarily a full blown assault, it could be just a single person with a gun, or they could blow up the building disguised as terrorists..." "My point is, crowds are the safest, and if they are not safe, nothing is, so act normal but stay sharp, and if you believe in any god, pray they are watching over us." she ate after that, she didn't want lock in any conclusion before she got a response from their 'ally'.

Oliver wasn't sure how to respond properly, though he did see the logic in what Jenna was saying. He nodded and kept eating as well. "I agree, the best thing to do is to stay in a large crowd where they'll think twice about an attack."

"I mean, the best thing would be not be spotted in the first place." Jenna pointed out in casual manner, she looked at the TV again, the news had moved on talking about other aviation accidents in history and comparing them to the new one, she started to wonder about what exactly did happen in there, what were the potential reasons for destroying a village. "I have a bad feeling about this."

"So do I," Oliver sighed, taking a quick look around just in case someone might be listening. "All we have to do is keep our heads down and stay in bigger crowds so they have less of a chance of spotting us, right?"

"For now yes, we'll have to wait if any information comes up, then it will be easier to know what's the best course of action." she scratched the table nervously with her fingers as she thought about it "We also should keep up with the news, just in case they do something else this public."

"Yeah, plus we'll be able to know their moves so they can't surprise us," Oliver said, noticing Jenna scratching the table. "Don't worry, it'll all be okay. I won't let those guys come anywhere near you again."

"Not really, even if they do something news worthy, it isn't news until it is already happening." Jenna pointed out "And I appreciate the assurance, but we both know there isn't much either of us can do to stop them if they find us." "We can only fight to flee." she finished eating, she had been eating quickly because she wanted to go back to the hotel, the cameras around them felt suddenly lot more threatening.

"That's only if they find us," Oliver pointed out. "And even then, they'd be taking too many risks attacking us in a public place like this, right?"

He finished his food as well, sensing Jenna's anxiety.

"Even malls are empty at night." Jenna said, her demeanor had changed, and her voice told of her anxiety, but it was not the kind of anxiety you get when you think you're in danger, but the kind when you know you are. "Talon is a patient predator, we need to get back to the hotel before we are spotted,, that is a public place, but there we are also out of sight." "Trust me on this." she got up, and grabbed Oliver's hand harder than usual, pulling him with her at quick pace

Oliver got up, letting Jenna lead her out of the place. "Yeah, sure, I'm coming."

He could tell she was worried, so he decided to let her do things her way if it helped calm her down at all. He was there to help after all.

Jenna continued pulling Oliver for some time, though some time after they had left the mall and were already on the streets, she suddenly realized something and slowed down, letting go and looking at Oliver "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I, did I hurt you?" she would look at Oliver's arm if he let her to see if she had left marks with her unusually tight grip, her eyes told of mix of emotion "I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me I...we need to keep moving." 

The news seemed to had really upset her, with her somewhat contradictory statements before and her sudden change of demeanor, and now this, had she reached her breaking point? or did she know something she didn't tell?
