Somnus threw the line into the river and quickly caught something. He pulled it in and it was just a shovel, so he threw it back.

"We don't usually cage them, we put them in enclosures where they have plenty of room to be animals."

As for the cage part...

"Even if you had the means to do such a thing, the guards would basically take down and you'd be dead in a hole."

Ruby commented, not sure if she was surprised that Somnus didn't seem to get her point, "And wouldn't that be a fitting end, dying in a hole, since that already almost happened." Ruby said sarcastically as she started pacing around bored "Though it was more of ravine or cave, but those are holes too." and though Somnus's irony comment didn't come true, it wasn't far off, because few seconds after Ruby had finished her reply, she felt ground giving away under one of her hooves and found herself falling to a hole deep enough to stun her for few seconds after she hit the bottom.

After Ruby was no longer stunned, she got up and looked around her, at this point she was still perfectly calm, looking around her, testing the wall, and observing her situation in general. The hole was deep put small, not big enough for really anything bigger than a pony, but just too big for a pony to climb up by holding themselves between the walls, the walls were flat and hard, so digging was out of the question, only way out for a pony was flying, and there simply wasn't enough room for a dragon. "Stuck." Ruby replied in her usual tone, but right after she had said it, panic started setting in, but this wasn't visible on the surface yet, since from that viewpoint she was still seeming observing the walls.

"Faster the better." Ruby shouted after him, there was small break in her voice, but it wasn't necessary enough to give away her panic.....but when Somnus had disappeared from view, things went downhill inside Ruby's head, and when ever Somnus was to return, he would find Ruby desperately jumping at the walls of the hole trying to climb up, visibly panicking, breathing heavily, there was no sign of the fearless beast from before, only mare-looking animal taken over by true fear.

Arrow gave a quick nuzzle also. Now it was there turn. Arrow went to a nearby teacup and sat down.

"This has always been my favorite ride."

Somnus grabbed a nearby branch and came back to see Ruby in a panic. This was not something he was expecting.

"Grab ahold of this branch!"

He reached down with the branch hoping that Ruby would grab on.

With a leap Ruby grabbed the stick with hooves and teeth while also kicking against the wall with her hindlegs in attempt to push herself upwards.

When eventually Ruby was out of the hole, she dashed some distance away from the hole before collapsing to the ground to try and calm herself down.

"Maybe, but considering the fact you walked out of the rollercoaster all dizzy you'd need to be in good health prior toriding these!" She teased as she poked Arrow's shoulder with a laugh.

It seemed that he's gained Ruby's respect, but wanted to give her a little time to gather herself before he asked what she was ashamed about.

The teacups have started and Arrow has began spinning the one that both him and Rose are in. The speed of which the teacup was spinning increased pretty quick.

As Arrow started to spin their teacup and its spinning speed increased, Rose started to laugh out of pure pliss. Arrow was making her date magical. This meant he gained her heart now. Cute, a little silly but kind, Arrow was a super stallion to date.

Somnus hadn't exactly gotten Ruby's respect, since she had already explained what that required, but he had made it so that she would act more respectfully towards him, since tohse were two different things to her. "Like I said, I have only flown and hunted for fun, so there's really nothing I want to do, I just do what you suggest in case there could actually be something I enjoy."

He then hit a nearby wall. It must've hurt a bit, but other than that, he was fine.

Ruby shrugged yet again "Well, it can't hurt to try." "I'm just as desperate on finding something to entertain me that you are, our motives are just bit different." Somnus may have gotten a bit closer to the dragon, but the flame of emotion that had been smothered by the cold heart of a dragon for over an century had yet to be lit, so though she would be more respectful towards Somnus, that didn't mean she was going to be kind, "I still don't understand why you bother in the first place."

Somnus began to lead Ruby to the amusement park.

When she told him that she didn't understand why he was even trying, Somnus had an answer.

"It's because you're worth more than you think. I don't see you as the heartless animal that you call yourself. If you truly were heartless, those cats saving you, me saving you, none of that would matter to you."

He added something else.

"You also wouldn't he able to feel shame. I gotta ask again though, what are you ashamed about?"

It was obvious that Somnus was nowhere close to being as coldhearted a Ruby seemed to have claimed herself to be.
