He really did want to be the pony that Ruby wanted, he just wasn't sure how. He didn't know how to escape his past or how to forget what he has lost.

Again, Ruby didn't pay attention to the dog "So that's the first thing for you to fix, and after that...well, at that point you will most likely be able to figure it out yourself." "Or who knows, it may be that becoming more intelligent is the only fix you need, only time will tell."

"Not really" Ruby said "I don't know if it's because my kind is so long-lived or some other reason, but we generally don't, if we even can, get stuck in the past." "I have had plenty of horrible days for sure, but none of them have any long term effect."

"My parents did cause a these problem, I guess I could try to be better from them. Of course they won't see it directly since they died of old age a long time a- wait."

"No I haven't noticed because I haven't cared enough to pay attention to what batponies look like or act like." "And no idea." Ruby replied "You all are ponies to me and your specific type doesn't really concern me, so I don't know what it can cause and what not."

"It's still standing. Pretty old, yes but I'm sure something could've been left behind. As for why I've never returned, I guess I didn't want to be reminded."

Somnus started to head to the treasury so they could put Ruby's trophy away so they could head to the house.

"No past is meaningless. It's how we learn and gain experience. I might lack book smarts, but I have intelligence in other aspects of life. One important thing is learning from our past mistakes. If we forget history, it is doomed to repeat itself."
