My first MLP encounter

Welp, here i am, after going through all the 2017 movies i stumbled upon My Little Pony: The Movie, well, i loved it, to be frank, the title is a bit misleading, i have known about My Little Pony for a while now and knew the basic premise, but never got around to watch the show, but now when i got back from watching the movie, im a bit confused on 2 things:

1. Should i start from Season 1 or some other place?

2. Where do i watch/download the episodes? (i know that torrent exists, im just wondering if there is a more 'legal' method)

Im sorry if my questions sound a bit dumb, im the kind of person who overthinks everything :p

I would start from season 1 but that is just me. Also I think it is on Netflix.

Though idk if its a rumor but it may have been taken off netflix.

I will have to check it brb.

Edit: Only the first four seasons are on netflix for some reason. Also this is the Australian netflix it could be different for you.

Thanks! Netflix is a pretty good choice, but when you consider that i live in, well, lets just say a past USSR country, Netflix aint an option here, welp, here i go pirating again

Yeah, many, if not most of us, pirate horses here. I agree you should start with the first season as well, however, maybe you should start with a latter episode like Fall Weather Friends, or Sweet and Elite (second season) before you start the series from scratch

@op101d True this is about you finding MLP through the movie but I'm going to move it to Sugarcube since it has to do more with asking questions based on the fandom and show.

What @TheTaZe said. Alternatively, you could report your post if you're ever in doubt and somebody will check it out.

And I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I didn't. Not that it was terrible, but most of the songs felt way too cheesy to me even for MLP and I didn't care for the art and animation changes they made for no discernable reason. To each their own.

I'd also suggest starting with season 1, but try watching through to the end of season 2 even if you don't care for it. Animation quality improves and the tone of the series changes a bit. The writers also seem to become more aware of their unintentional following while managing not to make the episodes feel like they're pandering to the adults.

Yea, some parts of the movie felt cheesy for me too (like when it was revealed that Storm King promised to fix Tempest's horn, i immediately knew that he aint gon do it) and yea, the songs were a bit cheesy too, but for me, the only parts of the movie i didnt enjoy is the few times when the background characters were just on a continuous 3-4 second loop, (what did you expect, im a learning animator)

You can start watching MLP from any season you want, but the way I did it was from season 1.
