I will start with examples

I won £2 in a jar on a tombola

A random man gave me £40 on the train.

pickpocketing  Finding a $50 on the sidewalk.

I found a wallet once that was loaded ($600 in U.S. dollars and a bunch of Korean currency as well) but obviously I couldn't keep it and turned it in. 

I earned some easy money posing for some art reference photos (nothing naked,  just basic poses). But it seemed unusual at the time.

Hm only unusual way I can think of I have gained money was selling paper airplanes in elementary school with a close friend xD still remember the prices, 50 cents for one or 2 for 75 cents.
