I'll have to get back to you on this one because there are so many of the more recent 2013 Mickey Mouse shorts that I could easily make a list out of that

Here’s the best list I can come up with at the moment, but there are quite a few to remember and I haven’t seen some of these for a long time.

Brave Little Tailor, 1938 (stunning animation and a great look for Mickey)

Runaway Brain, 1995 (a richly animated theatrical short with a lot of hilarious content)

Get A Horse, 2013 (great animation and a great new take on the old look. Fantastic in 3D)

The Klondike Kid, 1932 (lots of fun with Mickey rescuing Minnie from ‘Pierre’/Pete)

Plane Crazy, 1929 (Mickey showing more of his rascal side with Minnie)

Building A Building, 1933 (simple yet very fun and satisfying)

Mickey’s Polo Team, 1936 (more of an ensemble with lots of movie star cameos, but I've always liked it)

The Dognapper, 1934 (Pete at his nasty best, with Mickey coming to save the day)

Mickey’s Rival, 1936 (Mickey shows what he’s made of, and so does Mortimer)

Mickey’s Delayed Date, 1947 (I like Mickey’s ‘newer’ animation style, and this one is really solid).

I haven’t seen enough of the modern Mickey stuff to render a solid opinion, so I’m sticking to the stuff I know. One thing I’ve noticed about Mickey is that he’s always at his best when he’s together with Minnie. Whether he’s rescuing her from Pete, winning her from Mortimer, saving her dog or just fumbling his way through a date, he needs her as the catalyst for his adventures.
