So apparently the rivalry was real between these two channels. Nick aired an add encouraging viewers to switch over from 'boring cartoons' ,which was stylized in checker board font BTW. 

How does CN respond? 

By having the balls to buy up commercial slots on the nick channel, and launch this surgical strike from behind enemy lines.

The network. As a kid, nick toons came across as just plain weird. Having early mornings be crammed with nick jr. shows didn't help.   CN had shows that were funnier and more action packed.

Only show on Nick that I cared about and wasn't canceled after like 1 or 2 seasons was Spongebob, and they didn't always air it. I liked almost everything airing on CN though, so I usually watched that instead.
