It feels like since the dawn of time, fathers have been saying that they totally forbid their daughters to date. Call it annoying, call it archaic and old-fashioned, but it's still something that dads tend to talk about.

Im his daughter and I will always be his little girl no matter how old I get.Not only will one will ever be good enough for his daughter but once I finally find someone and go off to start my own family with them it will force him to accept that I’m not a little girl anymore. My father is ill and has a lot of health issues right now. He’s wishing for the days when I was a kid and all is well.

But at the same time he wants me to find someone and be happy. He wants my happiness more than anything. It’s not as black and white as it may seem. So yes he hates the idea of me ending up with someone but at the same time if it will make me happy then he wants me to be happy.

It does however seem like most fathers do hate the idea of their daughters finding love and being in a romantic relationship, and most of them do seem to hope that their daughter never dates or get married.

It does seem like most fathers will always hate the idea of their daughter dating and getting married someday no matter what, and it seems like they will always hate their daughter's boyfriend or husband no matter what (even if he's been proven to be a decent honest responsible guy).

I heard many fathers say that they hate the idea of their daughter dating and getting married someday. So it seems like they never want their daughter to ever date or get married, and so it does seem like most fathers do want their daughters to be single for their whole life.

Many of these fathers probably think that romantic relationships are a bad thing (since a lot of bad stuff can happen because of them). There's many people who actually think that romance is a bad thing, and they also think that humans should just get rid of the concept of romance and get rid of stuff like dating and marriage.

Yeah, that seems like that could be one of the reasons why most fathers wouldn't want their daughters to ever find love. But the main reason would have to be because of the dangers of romantic relationships.
