How did Spike's egg get to the School of Magic?

Yes, we have another post about Spike, but this isn't about his parents, or where's from, this is specially a post about: how we think his egg got to Equestria, and by extension, the School of Magic. I don't really care about where Spike is from, but I do care about how he got there, and this seems like a great story opportunity right here!

Now the question is: was he found, or did Spike's parent(s) just leave him in front of the school?

Let's pretend he WAS found and taken to Celestia's school. Now we know Twilight and Spike have a huge bond since Twilight was the one who hatched him, but would ya think Spike would have the same exact bond to the one who found him? If that's the case, then I'll letcha know who DIDN'T find Spike's egg: pretty much everypony Spike knows. I know there are those who think the princesses found his egg, but I am 95% sure it WASN'T THEM. Know why? Because Spike doesn't share the same bond with Princesses Celestia or Luna, than he does with Twilight. Plus, if Celestia or Luna found his egg, wouldn't they have TOLD him already?

Another thing: Spike's egg was most likely NOT DIRECTLY given to Celestia, cause then Celestia would know who found it, and therefore would be able to tell Spike who it was. Odds are: Spike was just dropped off at the school. That I'm mostly sure of! There are chances that Celestia mighta not even been aware of the egg, and it was just taken in by some school staff.

Of course I do believe it was Tirek's brother Scorpan who found Spike's egg, but the only evidence I can give for that is that Scorpan gave Spike to the ponies in G1, completely separate universe. So we have no in-universe evidence to support that. Hopefully it's true. I would LOVE to see a bond between them that even rivals Twilight!

So how do you think Spike's egg got to the School of Magic?

I think Princess Celestia stole Spike's egg from a dragons nest. I also think she stole Philomena's egg from a phoenix's nest.

That would make Spike hate Celestia! Sure Spike has a better life in Equestria, but knowing that she just took him for no reason? Spike would definitely resent Celestia for that.

Maybe it was the Roc. 

We know at least that there's a giant Roc living near the everfree forest and by extension ponyville. They apparently eat dragons, so who's to say they don't like their eggs too. It could have gotten the egg from the dragon lands and brought it home but something happened that it caused to drop it, either that or Celestia was alerted of the dangerous Roc that made all the way to either ponyville or any other place of equestria, maybe she wasn't the one that strictly found it but a normal pony and they just took it to Canterlot and Celestia to find out what type of egg it was. 

Then it was reveled that it was a dragon egg and somehow found it ok to give it to inexperienced fillies to open it up as an entrance exam for the magic school???... Maybe it was a prophecy she had in a dream of doing that precisely that day because the stars will align or something and the one that crack it open will be destined to be Celestia's pupil? And the dragon would be a long term plan to unite dragons and ponies?

Oh wow! The scorpan theory would be really cool since in G1 they become friends and Spike formed a big part of scorpan's redemption arc.

What a terrible thing to say! I won't stand for that nonsense! It would be VERY OOC for Celestia.

Here's my theory:

No, I think the likely reason is that Spike's real parents were aware they were going to die. If nothing was done, Spike's egg would perish with them. But thankfully a pony from the future found them and convince them that by giving his egg to the pony, he'll live. True to his word, the time traveling Pony took the egg to a time after Celestia lost her sister to Nightmare Moon. Specifically it was the same day, Sunset Shimmer quit her studies and ran away into the Equestria Girls world.

Now, normally hatching Dragon Eggs with Unicorn Magic would be impossible. Otherwise, even before the show began the ponies would already have had a more acquainted relationships with dragons. Which is why it's implied that to the ponies watching over Twilight's entrance exam were never really expecting Twilight to hatch it. On the surface, it was more about how would she react to her "inevitable failure to hatch it" that would determine if she's in the school or not.

What everypony didn't know at the time was that when Celestia was given Spike's egg by the pony from the future, the Time Traveler decided to give Celestia a prophecy: There's a special pony that will one day reunite Celestia with her sister. That pony would have incredible power, enough to do the impossible: Hatching a Dragon Egg. Once Celestia saw that, she knew Twilight was the student to take under her wing, one day bring Luna back and maybe someday Twilight would be her successor. Celestia even realized that since Spike would be raised with Twilight, she found a spell that allowed Spike's flames to send letters directly to her faster than the postal service. 

As for why Celestia doesn't just simply tell Spike his origins is simple. Spike was not meant to know the full story until sometime after the show ends, or at least not onscreen. So after Spike was hatch and Twilight became her student, Celestia secretly met with the Time Traveler to have her willingly suppresses the memories of their meeting hidden until it was time for Spike to know the truth. It shall helped prevent a paradox. So, even though we never see it on screen at least, be thankful that sometime after the show ends, Spike would learn the whole story and be glad his parents making sure he would live. And of course, that doesn't change the fact that being raised like Twilight's little brother, he has had a wonderful childhood.

Your theory makes much more reasonable sense than mine or the idea that the egg was stolen by Celestia. She may be a prankster sometimes but she's not a thief.

@Ittoni Not a bad theory! I didn't think a roc would take it, but it does make sense! I could definitely add that to my Scorpan theory! It would make more sense for Scorpan to rescue the egg from the roc (or catch it conveniently), than him finding it in the Dragon Lands all alone in the dragon hatching nests!

@Wolf Guide Yours is very creative, but it sounds waaaaaaaaay too complicated for this show. I actually got a bit confused in the middle of it.

BTW, I don't agree with the theory that Celestia stole the egg. I was only trying to amuse Sparklefan. Why so serious?

How about Celestia had a Dragon companion just like Twilight and Spike (or like Pinkie and Prince Rutherford), but after she laid an egg, she died and gave Celestia the egg?
