baba_booey 4,302 August 4, 2020 Share August 4, 2020 I’m a leftist but not entirely sure which ideological label I lean towards most. I’d probably say I lean most in the field of Democratic or Libertarian Socialism and am generally receptive to listening to Marxist and anarchist ideas.
zerox 1,123 August 4, 2020 Share August 4, 2020 Centre to centre left. I do seriously dislike the far right and left. Both of them are too extreme/crazy.
Sepul-Coloratura 762 August 4, 2020 Share August 4, 2020 I’m on the side of people becoming smarter individuals. Ideologies can come after that.
Splashee 28,564 August 5, 2020 Share August 5, 2020 I want a safe place for most people. That means people have to work together, and pay a lot of taxes
BlankFlank777 199 August 5, 2020 Share August 5, 2020 In against the whole political system, the whole idea of legality and governance. I'm pro-freedom. That's it. Absolute freedom and love is what we need, not these games of taking sides that really aren't so different and just create hate and intolerance and segregation. It's all total bullshit. We need to respect each other as brothers and sisters and stop pretending that preset rules that don't align with everyone's moral values will solve anything. Government exists for the sake of control out of mistrust and fear. It's the furthest thing from freedom and respect and love, all of which I highly value and I think everyone does deep down. We should all be a team and not try to control each other. It's never helped anything and there's no reason to think it ever will. The whole system is far beyond corrupt and unjust and injustice can't possibly last forever. It's not sustainable. By some means it'll crumble, possibly taking out all life with it, or if we take it down ourselves we could create a more sustainable way of coexisting in love and peace.
Sonic Shimmer 4,132 August 5, 2020 Share August 5, 2020 (edited) I usually identify as a centrist but I definitely lean much further towards the left. That said, I absolutely despise SJWs and cancel culture fanatics. Edit, one year later: Urgh, this is a cringey post to look back on. SJW and cancel culture are meaningless buzzwords. Edited July 29, 2021 by Sonic Shimmer Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for. Twilight Sparkle is Best Pony!
daviddaviddavid 776 July 9, 2021 Share July 9, 2021 I'd find it hard to plot myself on an American political compass. I don't like guns, yet I don't feel as though the government should tell people what they can and cannot purchase. I want as many people to live as possible so I am pro-life, and yet also against the death penalty. I believe we should fight to reduce inequality between certain groups, but I don't believe that the way to do that is to simply give a bunch of free stuff to one group over another. I couldn't really ever see myself voting Republican or Democrat, but a vote for Independents seems like a vote right in the garbage so I don't know what else I'd do. If an election were held in the UK tomorrow, I'd vote for the Conservative Party. My views are probably best represented as broadly centre-right by our political compass. I'm a capitalist and while I'm personally socially conservative I believe people should be broadly left to make their own decisions/mistakes in life. Personal responsibility all the way, baby. The Kaeya Simp 13,988 July 9, 2021 Share July 9, 2021 On the UK political compass, I'm in the middle of the right wing, and quite libertarian, however this is due to how far we lean left I would be centre right libertarian in the us I don't believe in a single payer healthcare system for example (as it inherently breeds corruption and requires heavy and increasing spending), am pro-gun, pro near complete de-regulation of all sectors of the economy, etc
Clawdeen 14,218 July 9, 2021 Share July 9, 2021 I have no idea really. I don't pay that much attention to politics *Ridiculous! Utterly Ridiculous!*
