The news is still sinking in for me.  Rush is still the band I love the most. So much so, I was adamant on making them my first concert, which I did in 2015. I've seen a few concerts since then and I still say that Rush concert was the best one I ever attended.

Neil Peart was one of my favorite rock drummers of all time, along with Matt Cameron... not to mention he was also one of my favorite lyricists of all time. I had no idea Peart was fighting cancer after Rush decided to call it quits, I just thought his body couldn't handle it anymore because of his chronic tendinitis. 

Time stood still when I got to see Rush live in high school, and Neil Peart was the highlight of it all. Rest in peace.
