My problem with the future of Equestria

I don't want to sound like I take all the details in the series very seriously, but am I the only one who bothered to see all the creatures living in Equestria? Everyone is supposed to have their needs like the creatures they are, the Yaks should be in cold and snowy areas instead of Equestria where 90% of the time is summer? I mean, for a reason they have all those skins (fur) in their body, because they are naturally destined to live in cold areas. The dragon lands are a very different place to Equestria, since it provides the right environment for a dragon to live, extremely warm areas, washes fire and stuff, getting a dragon out of there is getting away from its habitat. That and for other reasons bothered me and upset what Equestria looks like in the future, ignoring the needs and cultures of all creatures because Friendship! even the village of Starlight looked more real than that.

I'd assume most of the other creatures still live in their own kingdoms, but it's not impossible for those other creatures to move to or live in Equestria if they want. Spike's lived in Equestria his whole life and he seems no worse for it, the Student Six seemed perfectly fine staying in Twilight's school. It's possible for them to live in Equestria and I don't see it as ridiculous that some of them might choose to, and who says they all even permanently live there? Some could just be on trips for various reasons. All the other creatures in the future is to show that Equestria has become a more open and friendly place under Twilight's rule and that all creatures are welcome. Doesn't mean all of them just abandoned their old homes.

Twilight is best pony.

Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to?

I just like it on a metaphorical level. We see an Equestria which is more open and accepting than ever before, to the extent that groups of people who had been previously feared by ponies are now openly living among them. I find it quite heartwarming.

I would assume that natural selection, adaptation, and similar concepts also exist in the world of MLP. Non-ponies can also change their environments to suit their needs, and I would also assume that Twilight is reasonable in that regard.

It's for diversity. I imagine each creature adapts and comes and goes as they like. It's a metaphor for how we wish diversity worked in our world. It would be interesting if they had shown ponies living in non pony kingdoms too.

I don't think humans are made to live in every environment on this planet, but we make do. Yona and Smoulder seemed to do all right, and Spike has been living in Equestria all his life. Sapients aren't bound to their natural habitat - we can make choices.

It's the diversity narrative.

Certainly, but I sense some layer to your words beyond the literal.

Also, we only really saw Canterlot (the capital) and Ponyville (home to the School) - I expect that most areas' demographics remain unchanged.
