Will Guide 21,362 March 14, 2020 Share March 14, 2020 It's been years. She's allowed to change her mind. Besides, back in Equestria Girls 1, she was actually getting comfortable wearing a crown by the end of the film. And she's now ruler overlooking Equestria A Dragon as big as his love for Disney and has his head in the clouds literally and figuratively Ask Will Guide | Signature by Wife of Hawks | WiiGuy2014’s OCs
Twilight Luna 31,411 March 14, 2020 Share March 14, 2020 Twilight never saw herself as royalty, even if she was an alicorn. She didn’t think that she was in the same level of being a Princess as the other Princesses.
Dark Qiviut 22,439 March 14, 2020 Share March 14, 2020 (edited) Yes. Back in season 4, she didn’t have a purpose until the end of Twilight’s Kingdom, and even afterwards, she was behind in status compared to the others. Today, she’s the de facto ruler who embodies not only Friendship, but the sun and moon, too. Today, she’s the de facto ruler who embodies not only Friendship, but the sun and moon, too. I've been wondering about that. Idk if this has been answered on the forums before or in the show, but who is raising and lowering the sun and moon, now that Twilight is ruler. I always assumed that Celestia and Luna would continue to do it. But you could always argue that Twilight has to do it, now that she has the throne. While she has struggled with raising celestial bodies in the past, I'm guessing that Twilight would eventually be able to do it without the princesses help. There was never enough clarity on what the princesses planned to do in the future. Sure, they are retiring but they still seem to be in their prime and who knows how long they would last for. Another few hundred years or so? That is still a really long time and while I can get that Celestia is tired from over a 1000 years on the throne, Luna has spent a considerably shorter time on the throne. I just feel like Luna had a lot left in her as a ruler and had always hoped that she grew to be as tall as her sister, but sigh it never happened. On the topic of this thread tho, Twilight wearing the royal regalia is just a way of showing how much she has matured over the years. She's embracing the job of being ruler and deep down, she's probably just subconsciously trying to follow Celestia's example of what a ruler should be like. The simpler explanation is that she's just got used to wearing the crown. 10 hours ago, Pentium100 said: We have a saying, "even a dog being hanged gets used to it". She just got used to it.
