Bentley spoke up. "Well, we have a place. We 'borrowed' a medium sized house for this operation, as it's owner is away for six months at a time. It might be a little crowded, though. We can rest there for about a week, then head out for Paris, to our main HQ." However, Bentley was thinking. Can we trust them? Or will they just rob us and run? Either way, we could probably get our stuff back, but... It'll be annoying.

"Shut up, Splinter!" said Rook.

He looked at the mares eyes... The were twinkling in a eerie way.

"...why...would...he...do...this...?"

"I don't know, but he will pay for what he did to you"

"...uni...corn...heal...me...?"

"Uhh..." Rook looked at Starbolt

"I can't heal anything more than a scrape or papercut, You need to help her."

Starbolt was a sleep but woke up when she the mare started talking.

"A healing spell? Oh dear im not sure i can do one of those but il give it a shot." She said as she started to cast the spell.

Some of the mare's minor wounds healed and some of the bleeding stopped.

"Thats all i can do." Said Starbolt sadly.

"Well, when all else fails, use non-magical supplies," said Bentley, pulling out some gauze, tape, iodine, and other things like compression bandages for broken bones. "Could you guys hold her still, reassure her or something? The iodine is going to burn..." Bentley got to work, setting bones, cleaning out the major wounds, and then wrapping up the wounds with the gauze.

(OOC wow, this RP went from fast to slow quickly)

Finally, the moment Rook was waiting for...sleep.

As he laid down in bed, he reflected on what transpired this night. How were they going to be able to stop doodle? Would the Police kill them if they found them? Are they truly doomed to live a life of crime like sly and his friends?

Rook kept thinking about it until his mind got so tired that he drifted off to sleep...

(OOC, I'm sorry everypony, but this seems to be a dead RP now. None of us have been interested enough to post in 10 days! I will now end it, but because Pencil made such a cool idea for an RP, it deserves to end in style. If no pony posts a SIGNIFICANT POST after this post in one day, well, then I will finish the RP AWESOMELY. Your choice)

(OOC BTW I took the liberty of doing lines for everypony. I'm sorry if Rook become the central character now)

Rook was fast asleep. He need some rest to gather all that had happened tonight. His bed was rather comfy, and it felt like sleeping on a cloud. Of course, he was a unicorn, so that wouldn't work out in real life. His peace was interrupted by a loud bang. Rook was jolted awake and saw Splinter standing next to the bed with a smoking gun.

"...what the hay is going on?..." said Rook, who was too tired to freak out at this point.

"You're in my bed, Rocky" said Splinter.

"...wha-?..."

"I'm sleepy now, and Sly says we're sharing the room. I am not sharing the bed, though."

Rook looked at the clock. He had been sleeping for 5 minutes. "...I'm sorry, Rook isn't here right now, please leave a message after the 'z'" Rook fell back a sleep. Splinter picked Rook up and threw him across the room. Rook hit the wall next to the door "...ok, you win..." and Rook who fell asleep in the position he was in.

Rook's new found peace didn't last long. After a second of sleep, Starbolt opened the door, and it smashed right into Rook's face. Starbolt walked in smiling, then was disappointed to see Splinter on the bed. "Oh... hello Splinter..."

Splinter frowned, "Hey watch it, I still read minds, you know"

Starbolt rolled her eyes "Sorry, It's just I thought that I was sharing a room with Rook..."

"You are, and me"

"Oh..." Splinter laughed "Oh, I see, you wanted 'privacy' with Rocky, is that it?"

"What? No! That's not it! He simply nicer to be around, that's all" Starbolt blushed a bit.

"Right..." said Splinter, who started disassembling a gun, "I totally believe you."

Starbolt sighed, Why did she have to deal with this idiot?

"I heard that"

"Just... Where is Rook?" she said, getting frustrated.

"I'm right here!" said Rook, who's voice was muffled by the door on his face.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" said Starbolt as she moved the door. Rook was lying face down on the floor.

"Meh, I'm fine, no thanks to Captain Guns-Blazing" said Rook.

"Well, how long did it take you to come up with that one?" sneered Splinter waving the reassembled gun. Rook rolled his sleepy eyes. He got on his hooves and brushed himself off

"It looks like I'm not welcome in this room anymore. It's fine, I will just go downstairs. The sofa seemed comfortable." Rook left the room, Starbolt followed close by. "Why are you coming?" asked Rook. "The bed in there is way more comfortable."

"Yeah, but there is a whole lot of Splinter in it."

They both laughed."You know, we should be nicer to Splinter, he did help us out back there, and he is a good pony to have on our side, now that the Law isn't. I'm sure on the inside, he's a nice guy" said Rook.

"I'm sorry, but wasn't it him who kicked you out of your bed and threw against the wall?"

"Lets not talk about that" Rook laid on the sofa, but then realized that Meteor was sleeping on the other one.

He sighed. "Starbolt, you can sleep here." Rook got down and helped Starbolt onto the Sofa. Rook then laid down on the ground and tried to sleep again.

(OOC Calirolls, We aren't doing this RP normally now. Doodle has agreed to let me write a multi-part ending (since the RP is dead and was going way too slowly). For the sake of making it easier to write and I don't need to rethink an ending, DON'T POST. Let me handle it. Check the Silent Crime PM for more information.

And for the record, your post will be considered, a bit. I do not plan on making Splinter into a badguy, however)

The ground wasn't the ideal place for Rook to sleep, but he did anyway. The night was rather peaceful, and Rook felt somewhat at ease in a house that was essentially guarded by thieves and a mercenary. That thought probably wasn't fully true, but it gave Rook peace of mind anyway.

To his surprise, Rook was not woken up during this time. He woke up on his own some eight hour later. When he woke up, Starbolt and Meteor weren't on the sofa's anymore. At first, he panicked, but then he heard Starbolt talking in the kitchen. Rook got up and made his way there.

"How are you? Are you still in Pain?" Rook heard Starbolt ask.

"No, I'm fine. You're healing spell really helped." said Meteor. She sounded much better now. Rook walked in and used magic to pour himself some cereal. When he looked over at Meteor, he was surprised to see her look away, in shame. Rook sat down at the table next to Starbolt, and Meteor kept her head down.

"Uhh... hey Meteor. How are you?" She didn't answer immediately, she just kept her head down. When Rook looked closely, he could see her blushing a bit.

"I'm... Fine, thanks to you." said Meteor, still with her head down. She was quiet for a minute or so. "You... you saved me. I could have died a horrible death in that alleyway, but you stopped him..." Meteor trailed off for a second. She looked out the window. "I just don't know how to repay you."

Rook to a bite of cereal. "Thank you, but it wasn't just me. Starbolt and Splinter helped me as well."

"Yeah..." Meteor was silent a bit, then tears started to roll off her face.

Rook got worried. What did he say?

Starbolt got up to go comfort Meteor. She was crying a lot now. "That monster... he took away my wings, my Cutie Mark. I am now scarred for life. There is nowhere I can go. According to the rumors, the police will kill me if they find me. I am no pony now." She turned away again, "I should have died..."

"Don't say that, Meteor! I'm sure this will work out..." said Starbolt, trying to comfort her. It was not use. Meteor was crying uncontrollably now.

"You..." Meteor choked out. "...you need to kill him." She looked Rook in the eye for the first time. "He ended my life, now I want you to end his..."

Rook didn't know how to react to this. It was a shocking request. Could he take such a dark promise? Rook wasn't a killer, he was a just chess player. "I... I think that is job more suited for Splin-"

"No, you need to do this. I can trust you." She looked out the window again. "Remember when you left to help your friend? I thought you wouldn't come back. I thought you were to scared to harbor a murder victim, and you two would run off to forget me. You proved me wrong by staying true to your word, something many ponies in this world don't do anymore." She looked Rook in the eye again. She no longer had a ashamed look, but one of anger. "Do you see me? I am ruined! He deserves to die! Why are you so scared?"

There was a silence in the room for a moment. No pony knew what to say.

"Alright. I will do it." said Rook, not fully believing what he just said.

Starbolt had a look of horror on her face. She couldn't believe what she just heard. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, I am."

"Thank you Rook, I will repay you one day for your kindness." Meteor got up. "I am going to take a little... walk." She winced at the fact she no wings anymore, and couldn't fly "You two are free to join me if you like."

Starbolt got up and looked at Rook, waiting for him.

"You two go. I'll pass." said Rook. He wasn't done with his breakfast, and he had just taken Meteor's deathwish for Doodle. He wanted to think things over.

(OOC Sorry if this is going kinda slow. I will post part 3 later today)

(edited)

Starbolt and Meteor walked in silence for a while on a path to a lake. It was a rather scenic route, with many flowers and trees, but Meteor couldn't find joy in it. She looked up at the clouds for much of the walk.

"It's funny," she said, breaking the silence, "as a Pegasus, I could just go and take a nap on that could there. I took that ability for granted. I didn't need to walk anywhere, I just flew." She looked at her wing nubs, "Looks like those days are over."

They walked for a couple more of minutes without talking. Starbolt was afraid to make Meteor upset or angry.

Finally she spoke. "Meteor, I know you are sad, but this isn't the end for you. Rook saved you so you can live a another day. That's what you are doing now."

"It isn't the same..." Meteor sighed. "It... it would be like if someone sawed off your horn." Starbolt winced at the thought, "How are you going to do your magic? I know your talent is magic, but unicorns use their magic to do everything. Rook doesn't have powerful magic, but he even uses it to pour cereal! How would you deal with that change? It would take you a while to realize how much you used your magic in your life. I suppose you could live like an Earth Pony, which isn't all bad, but you'll never be as strong as them..."

Starbolt didn't like the thought of living without her magic, it made her worried about if Doodle came after them. "Well... you seem to full understanding of the situation." Starbolt looked at Meteor's flank, it was bandaged a lot, but she knew that what ever was their had been cut out. "If you don't mind my asking. what was your special talent?"

"I am... I was a mailmare. I was pretty good at logistics and organization. My Cutie Mark is..." She stopped, realizing that she no longer had one. "...was an envelope." She sighed. "It looks like Derpy is going to take my routes. Hopefully she wont mix up the mail too much like..."

Meteor stopped for a second. A butterfly landed on her nose. She smiled and started to cry a little. "It's so beautiful... It's wings..." The butterfly fluttered off and landed on a flower. Starbolt stood next to Meteor as they admired the it.

"See," said Starbolt, "there are too many beautiful things in the world to give it up. Despite your situation, you should be glad to still be alive."

"... I guess..." Meteor smiled and walked on.

They were close to the lake, as Starbolt could hear the insects and and birds near it. "Meteor, you gave Rook a dark task. Do you really think he will kill Doodle? Rook would be no better than him if he did it, not to mention he... really isn't that type of pony, you know what I mean?"

"I suppose..." Meteor was silent for a moment. "How do you and Rook know each other? Are you two... a thing or something?"

"What? No, no, Doo... somepony brought a group of us together to help find the murderer"

"Right... So what's your impression of him?"

"Who?"

"Rook, silly!" Meteor giggled. Starbolt was surprised, she didn't think Meteor would ever laugh.

"Well... I don't really know. He seems nice, I guess. He's also really smart, quiet, and... nice. It seems like he likes to help other ponies out when he can... which is nice."

"You said nice three times."

"Yeah, well, I haven't known him for that long, it's only been a day. He just seems like he's very... nice."

"I think I have an answer"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Starbolt blushed.

"Oh... nothing. I guess you already know." Before Starbolt could counter that statement, Meteor said, "We're here"

They stared out at the lake. It was a beautiful sight. It almost made Meteor forget her problems.

They sat down on the shore, letting the water touch their hooves. Meteor pulled on one of the Cattails near them and started to eat the stem.

"You eat those?" asked Stabolt.

"They're quite good. Would you like one?"

"Sure, I guess..." Meteor picked another one, and gave it to Starbolt. "Just eat the stem, the top part you need to prepare."

Starbolt took a bite. "Tastes like...cucumbers."

"You like?"

Starbolt thought about it. To be honest, she didn't really like cucumbers, "Uhh... it's fine. Why do you eat this?"

"My dad was a Royal Guard. Part of their training is learning how to take care of the princesses and themselves in the wild, what grasses are good and bad. He told me what grasses I should eat in case... something bad happened."

"Interesting"

Meteor chuckled when she saw Starbolt make faces at the Cattail, "Your funny, Star"

"Thanks"

After sitting and eating for a couple of minutes, Meteor began to look worried.

"Starbolt, are you getting the feeling that we are being watched?"

"Now that mention it..."

Both ponies were silent. They slowly turned around to look at the dense forest behind them. They didn't see anything in there, but they both were looking for the same thing.

Doodle

Suddenly, they heard a twig crack.

"This lake has been fun, now let's go back home now!" said Starbolt in a panicked voice.

"Right behind you sister!" The two of them jumped up and galloped as fast as they could down the path.

There was a sharp turn in the path. As the turned on it, they screeched to a halt.

Pencil Doodle was down that path. He slowly began to walk forward towards them. Starbolt and Meteor turned around to see another Doodle coming down the other way.

How is this possible? Starbolt thought to herself, Some sort of cloning spell?

They didn't wave a long time to think it over, as they were surrounded by four Doodles...

(OOC Pause for dramatic effect....)

Part 4

(OOC Sorry, everypony, for the wait and this one's shortness... Just been a little busy)

"Well, I've seen you two before," laughed one of the Doodle clones, "One a little more personal than the other..."

Meteor was frozen in fear. His voice was a raspy echo, coming from four mouths. The four Doodles had a raised up their knives. The one closest to Meteor picked her up with his magic.

"I wonder how you survived our last meeting. Lucky for you, I finish what I start." Doodle lifted Meteor high into the sky, at least 70 feet. "Fly, little Pegasus! I hope you can remember how." Doodle laughed with an evil cackle. He shook Meteor around as she was screaming at the top of her lungs

Starbolt readied her horn magic blast. Just she was about to fire, the Doodle behind her grabbed her horn, restrained her, and held a knife up to her neck.

“Hold on there, love,” said the Doodle restraining her in a uncorfortingly polite voice, “you will get your chance too. Let’s just wait a second for Doodle to splatter the little Pegasus all over the path...”

“Get your hoofs off me!” yelled Starbolt, struggling.

“Argh, just finish her off!” yelled one of the other Doodles.

The Doodle holding Meteor shook her around. “Aw, but I was having fun...”

“Just drop her already so we can get on to the Unicorn! I wanna see her on the inside!” Yell the Doodle. Starbolt gasped.

“Fine...” The veil of magic surrounding Meteor faded and she began to plummet to the ground.

Starbolt focused as hard as she could. Suddenly, she disappeared from thin air, as did Meteor only a couple of feet from her impact.

"Gah! Find them!"

***At the House***

Rook finished up his cereal. He was beginning to wonder why the other guys didn't come down yet. He went up stairs to Splinter's room and knocked on the door. No answer. He opened it and ducked in case Splinter shot him. Luckily, the room was empty. There was a note on the bed.

Rocky

Gone with the other guys to look for Clockwerk Parts. Be back by noon. Stay the hell away from my bed.

Rook looked at the time. It was a quarter to noon, so they must of left when it was still dark, splinter didn't seem to be an ontime kind of pony.

Rook found a nice chess set in the family room and decided to play a game, against himself. That’s how he learned. He was very good at it, and always made the games last as long as possible.

He used his magic to set up the chess set. After about 50 turns, he heard a buzzing noise above him. At first he thought it was a fly, but then there was a loud crack and two mares fell on him.

“Oof...ach... What the hay is going on?” said Rook. Meteor was frozen in shock, shaking in fear. Starbolt was in shock as well

“D-D-Doodle was there!” She stammered, “T-there were so many of them! He nearly killed us!” She broke into tears and fell into Rook’s hoofs. Rook didn’t know what to do, and just let her hug him.

“Wait, Doodle was there? Are you two ok?” asked Rook.

Meteor took a couple of deep breaths to try and calm down. “W-we need to hide! They’ll find us!”

“Wait, they?”

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. The three of them froze. They could hear some arguing outside. The three of them gathered close in fear.

The doorknob turned, then Splinter and the thieves walked in.

“I told you I had the key” said Sly.

“Why would we use the key? I could have picked that lock faster than that!” Mumbled Bently

“Why pick the lock when you have a freaking key!?” retorted Sly.

“We’re thieves! Why use the front door?”

“Shut it you two, or I’ll blow your brains out!” Yelled Splinter, holding up his gun.

Splinter looked forward at Rook, Starbolt, and Meteor gathered closely on the couch. He laughed.

“Well, Rocky! I see you’ve been busy!”

(OOC for the next couple of days, will be on very weird internet schedule, as we will be going on a cross country trip back home, I will still be working on part 5)
