I think it would take a huge chunk out of my life to get really invested in the Simpsons. It seems like so much to take in.

But that's not the point. Sometimes I encounter articles of the show predicting the future. Like Disney taking Fox, Covid and murder hornets, and Trump winning 2016 to name a few. I don't know the others.

So then what are the other times the Simpsons' predictions actually came true? And what are the times they are actually wrong?

And are the predictions supposed to show the entire future or just bits and pieces of it? I seriously don't get the whole business.

I've only seen maybe five episodes. Never could get into The Simpsons. Having said that, I think the whole predictions thing is silly. Over hundreds of episodes they threw out thousands of sight gags. It's only random coincidence that some hit home.

As a show that has been around for so long, it was bound to predict some things - they had an episode about virtually everything (remember the "Simpsons did it!" joke?).
Although it's quite interesting that they once had a virus that came from Asia, and people rioting and tearing down a statue in the same episode:
