Global Gleam was aroused from her sleep from the subtle movements coming from Luna’s legs and wings. She appeared to be having a restless sleep. Gingerly, she placed a hoof on the princess and begin stroking her gently, hoping that would sooth her. She then looked to Celestia to check on her, and found that she was in a deep sleep. She tilted her head curiously, unsure why the princess of dream magic would be restless and not the other princess.

“Your Highness, is everything alright?” she whispered softly in Luna’s ear.

Luna stirred a little more, letting out soft whimpers. It seems like this was a bad dream. Perhaps it was fueled by the worries and fears of Luna. There wasn't really any way to enter the dream realm...so the only way to help was from the outside...

“Luna, Luna, Your Highness, can you hear me?” Global whispered into the princess’ ear as she continued to stroke her soothingly.

“It’s going to be alright Luna. I won’t let anything hurt you out here. If you can hear me, you can tell me what’s wrong, and I will be here to listen.” she added.

Luna hugged Global tightly. It seems like Luna was trying to fight something inside, like a growing darkness. Luna let out a very loud whimper, stirring more. "Something...inside..." She said whimpering more with a sniffle. It could perhaps be the Nightmare Moon side of her trying to reclaim her.

“How can I help to get it out?” Global asked, still whispering.

She continued to hold onto Luna, letting her know she was there. She was going to cast this darkness out of Luna and make sure it couldn’t hurt her any longer. Global hated seeing her like this and would do anything to make her feel better.

Luna managed to light up her horn. A magic veil surrounded Global, which sent her into Luna's Dream Realm. There, a darkness was growing. "No matter how hard you try, you cannot defeat me." It said with an evil laugh. This was the dream realm so anything was possible.

Global was quickly teleported into the dream realm. There, a dark figure stood, claiming Luna could not defeat it. Global Gleam glared back at it scornfully, and with her dream capabilities, drew a long silver shield and held a small golden shield to her face. She was not sure if these weapons were necessary, but if they weren’t, she could always create more later.

“Get out of Luna’s head now, or I’ll fight you, hard. For the end of time if I have to!” she threatened the figure.

The Nightmare force was too strong. With one strike, the force shattered through Global's shield and sent her flying. Just then, Luna appeared within the dream realm, and faced the dark force. It seemed like a growing determination had spawned, and now she was ready to defend Global.

Global Gleam gasped as she was pushed back and sent flying across the dream. She tried to get up, but with how powerful the blow was, she found herself struggling to push herself off the ground. Thankfully, Luna appeared ready to defend her. She hoped Luna could combat this darkness is she herself was unable to.

"You will not take me again Darkness!" Luna proclaimed as she fired a light beam that pierced through the darkness, causing it to let out a screech. Maybe Global's determination spawned something within Luna...

Global watched in awe as Luna blasted at the darkness. She was internally proud of Luna for standing up against this evil force. Since the darkness probably had a lot of fight left in it, Global remained on guard and prepared herself for any attack. If she needed to, she would summon a weapon or anything else she needed to use in defense.

"Global, channel the light within you to defeat the darkness. I know you can do it! You must hurry. Dig deep to find it." Luna shouted as the darkness zipped towards her. Since it was the dream realm...Global could power up to a higher form...

Her heart racing, Global scrambled in her mind to find a powerup good enough to fight off the darkness. She shut her eyes tight and waited as a white light engulfed her body, transforming her body and adorning her with a new outfit.

Spiky arm bracelets in groups of three decorated each forearm, sharp enough to slash at the dark form. She also wore designer biker jacket equipped with various chains, pins, and of course, spikes. The chains and pins did not seem like weapons at first glance, but they could definitely come in handy if the dark form tried to grab Global. She was also equipped with heeled boots with small spurs on the sides and a tall biker’s helmet with a long, thin point at the top.

Everything on her outfit radiated with intimidation. Global bit her lip fiercely, feeling more brave than ever with her custom suit of armor. Her physical alterations also assisted in this process; her legs were taller, her chest was puffed out farther, and her mane and tail were slightly longer. Her alterations weren’t much on the surface, but having the extra build and increase of wind in her mane and tail would only increase her agility.

The last thing she needed was her bike. She felt a bit remorseful for a moment, remembering what happened to it in the waking world. Thankfully, here, she could see it for a brief time. She quickly summoned the bike and watched it appear before her eyes, its sleek exterior shining back at her gleefully. Swiftly, she hopped on and started the engine. It roared to life with a passion, spewing gasoline smog from behind excitedly.

Before Global Gleam faced off this shadowy demon, she allowed herself the moment to think about why she was here. Despite how many ponies she lost; her students, her friends, her family…the universe chose to keep her here, to save them all. They were all worth saving, along with the rest of the innocent souls scattered throughout Equestria. Global was no supermare or trained fighter, but she had a strong willpower to fight for what was important. Even if she failed at times, she would never give up, because the universe depended on her!

The darkness zipped towards Global and looked as if it was gonna wrap itself around Global, trying to break through into her spirit. This was definately the time to use a powerful light attack.

The darkness enshrouded Global quicker than she could react. She could scarcely see more than a few specks of light around her. For a moment, she panicked. Would she be able to make it out of this? She then remembered she was in a dream, thus she could summon anything she wanted.

Acting fast, she summoned a powerful light fixture on the front of her bike, powerful enough to light an entire city. Global had to close her eyes to protect herself, even though she knew eye strain wouldn’t affect her here. If the beam was powerful enough, it would propel at least most of the darkness away.

The darkness let out an ear splitting shriek. However, Luna was able to suppress the shriek someway, somehow. The darkness seemed like it was on its last leg. One final push together would do it. Luna looked at Global, ready for the final blow.

Global looked at Luna determinedly, then she sped her motorcycle towards the darkness. When she was mere centimeters from it, she turned sharply and began circling around it, her bike lights flickering on and off to create a disorienting effect. Thankfully, since this was a dream, Global did not feel any dizzying side effects.

Luna gave one final push and the darkness dissipated into nothing. Back in the real world, Luna was able to calm down finally and go to sleep soundly snuggling Global. However, from that night on...the darkness may be lurking...

At last, Princess Luna was able to rest peacefully. However, Global sensed that there was still darkness lurking. She could feel it as the hairs stood up on her back and legs. Forcing herself up, she looked around and did her best to stay alert for the time being.

Although she had a small amount of defenses in the waking world, she did have a strong desire to protect the princess. The darkness was coming after her specifically, so it was of upmost importance that the darkness get nowhere near Luna.

Luna and Celestia were able to sleep through the night. 

The next morning, Celestia woke up to raise the sun. It was a rather sad sight, as the sun rose over the desolate and slowly rebuilding Equestria. Luna opened her eyes and slowly got up, gently patting Global.

The princesses, thankfully, were able to get a decent night’s sleep. Luna tapped Global gently to awake her. Global’s mane was a mess and her wings were unfurled, a clear sign that she had not gotten much rest herself. However, she kept that hidden as it was not a priority at the moment. Stifling a yawn, she asked,

“What do we do next, Your Highnesses?”

”We head for the Crystal Empire at once. We must restore Cadence, Shining and Flurry to ensure that no evilness enters. Memories of King Sombra still are prevalent, and this situation makes things worse.” Luna said.

“Yes, you’re right! Sombra could attack the souls if we don’t get to them soon!” Global said urgently. “I have travelled there many times so I know the fastest routes if you would like to follow me.”

”We could get there even faster. It feels as though my energy is restored. I sense the pain of the spirits. Let’s go.” Celestia declared charging a teleportation spell, waiting for Global to grab on to her.
