Yep! I'm back with another analysis post. But this time, it's not about G5.

It's about Godzilla vs Kong, mostly because I am super hyped, and I need to talk about it.

GvK has recently had a synopsis released:

Quote

Legends collide in "Godzilla vs. Kong" as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans -- instigated by unseen forces -- is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.

Now, from the trailers and TV Spots we've seen -especially the ones released by Toho- it's safe to assume that Godzilla isn't causing destruction on purpose. Why would a titan protecting humanity try to kill everyone?

Obviously, with all the leaks and everything, we can pretty much safe that Mechagodzilla is the reason Godzilla's upset. Kong probably can't sense Mechagodzilla, but Godzilla most likely can, as the guy who created it is no other than Dr. Serizawa's son himself. The son of the man who sacrificed himself to save Godzilla, as seen below.

His son Ren, confirmed by the cast, and Adam Wingard himself. Note, the Mechagodzilla operation screen behind him. He's also working for Apex, and although not much is known about the company, we can pretty much guess that he was working with Alan in KoTM. Perhaps this will give us answers to the King Ghidorah head Alan bought from the fishermen in the credits.

Below, there's some screenshots of Godzilla's rage. He's attacking people and cities, but I honestly don't think he's doing it for his own entertainment, but to find the source of what's upsetting him. The same way the Titans had with the Orca in KoTM.

Instigated by unseen forces

Now, the thing is, we've seen a glimpse of Mechagodzilla in the trailer, right at the beginning as he's destroying a huge city. We know this is Mechagodzilla, because he has red lights that are visible in the same scene. Not to mention, the face is the exact same structure as the leaked toys.

Here's a better look at the red light shining.

Now, here are the leaked figures of him. The smaller one being a funko pop, and the more detailed one I believe may either be Bandai or NECA. Notice how the 'snout' looks exactly like those in the scene above.

The beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.

KoTM led us inside the Hollow Earth, where Godzilla's resting place was, and where other Titans may believe to be hiding. It was also where Titans were worshipped by civilizations, only to fear them as they became more advanced.

Now, in the trailer, we see Kong somewhere in an underground cave, we can guess that's the Hollow Earth. It's also where this scene takes place.

It appears as though there's glow in the dark cave paintings, or it could be some sort of crystals. We see the doral plates look exactly as the same thing used on Kong's battle axe. Both the scene and the leaked S.H. MonsterArts figure show it. We could probably assume that's where those are stored as weapons, however, where they could have come from is unknown.

And last but not least, here's a few of my favorite scenes, for aesthetic reasons.

I'll add stuff later! I just gotta find it first.
