MaryAnne poured herself a drink and smiled "I am the only barkeep in town ofcourse I'm your friend." she joked. She sat besides him and took a sip of her drink. "Yes it is nice weather. I know what we can talk about. How much should I compensate you for your table fixing services? I can't thank you enough for all the work you have done around here."

"You gave me the house next door, that's more than I could ever ask for." He said taking another sip of his drink.

"That is the single most generous thing anypony has ever done for me, So you have no need to thank me." He smiled at MaryAnne

Chancy began to run with Storm, using her magic to lift her saddlebags off her back, reducing the weight she had to carry. Little did Storm know, Chancy had been one of the top cross-country runners back in her high school days. Sure, she was out of practice a bit at the time, but she was sure she could still out-run her opponent. She noticed Storm open her wings, and at first thought she was going to fly, but Chancy soon realized she wasn't, and put her head as even with the ground as she could, trying to get the least air resistance to pull ahead. As she did that, she took her eyes off Storm, focusing only on the ending point, which was still a bit away.

Storm was surprised when she noticed she hadn't left Chancy as far behind as she had expected to. It'll be harder than expected she thought while she increased her pace and readjusted her running to reduce air resistance and gain speed.

Everything around her started to blur and she focused on the tree. I won't make it easy for you, Chancy. When she reached the tree she slowed down but everything stayed blurred, she didn't know if Chancy had gotten there already, and started to feel dizzy.

"Chancy! I don't feel alright" she said breathing heavily "Chancy? Are you there?". She gave in to the shakiness in her legs and rested on the ground under the tree "Everything is moving" she said while closing her eyes to avoid the dizziness.

[Just to let you know, running after losing a lot of blood is a bad idea. Just let her rest for a second]

Chancy, who had been immediately behind Storm the whole way, saw her collapse, and crouched down, performing a few procedures, trying to see if anything had ruptured and/or began to bleed. Luckily, nothing was wrong with Storm, she just needed to catch her breath.

"Storm, listen to me," She began, putting her hoof on top of Storm's. "If you can hear my voice, and understand me, squeeze my hoof."

[Just to let YOU know, opening your wings while running may make you lighter, at the cost of more air resistance. :P]

"That's a mighty fine compliment in my book Decan, thank you. Drink up. It looks like I have somepony to attend to." She poured another mug for Silvermane and got out from behind the counter. She trotted over to him.

"Well fancy seeing a refined stallion such as yourself in a place like this, what brings you into town so soon Lord Silvermane?" She handed him the mug and sat down besides him. She smiled and took a swill of her ale. What a pleasant surprise. She thought to herself. Seeing him made her feel...happy, but a different kind of happy. One that she wasn't used to.

"Why yes we do brew the majority of our beverages here at the Alicorn Ale Tavern. I also cook the meals for our guests and visitors to the inn. This ale your drinking is my pride and joy here." She laughed at his amazed face. "You're always welcome to come on in and have a drink. This ones on me as a thank you for your hospitality yesterday." she nodded and took another swig.

"By the way, how did you keep your appearance and your mane so immaculately perfect during that long walk?" she asked with curiosity as she noticed how neat and put together he looked.

Flame sipped his drink and glanced over at MaryAnne and Lord Silvermane. ... They are in love. Flame smiled and stretched his wings. Maybe carrying those logs was a bad idea... He thought finishing the last of his drink, He stood up and trotted behind the counter so he could wash his cup.

MaryAnne smiled as he looked at her, feeling his gaze on her she blushed, smiled and looked away. She looked back once she had collected herself and replied "That is interesting." She turned her head around and looked at Decan "Pour yourself some more or just leave it there, I will take care of it later." then turned back to the silver maned stallion "Perhaps, Lord Silvermane, We could take a walk together sometime....if you would like to that is..." She asked him clearly at first but wound up stumbling over her words with nervousness as she completed the sentence. She mentally hit her self in the face with her hoof for being so ridiculous.

"Oh, Thanks MaryAnne." Decan placed the mug on the counter and mad his way towards the door. "I will talk to you later. Have a good day." He smiled at MaryAnne and Lord Silvermane then trotted out the door.

(OOC: Sorry if I say Flame instead of Decan, I am role playing with the same character only with a different name so I confuse myself.)

MaryAnne nearly leaped back in surprise when he placed his hoof on hers then removed it. Her lavender coat turned red in her cheeks and her eyes widened. What does that mean? He...does he...no...She thought to herself, her mind scrambled by the spark she felt when they touched. "Bye Decan!" she shouted her voice still wavering. she looked down at her nearly full mug and gulped the rest down.

MaryAnne smiled and nodded her face still a bright red, looking directly into his blue eyes through his monocle. She calmed her self down noticeably after his words, she collected herself and said "Thank you Silvemane,I'm sorry if I am at all awkward...I am not usually like this....I am glad to have met you as well." She smiled at him brightly, "Would you like some more ale?"

MaryAnne smiled and laughed an earthy giggle, she stood up and grabbed their mugs. "Are you sure? It's two bits then. How about some soup also?" She went to the back of the bar and filled up the mugs with more of the golden amber ale. She used her telekinesis to give him his mug. She took a sip of hers and leaned back against the stained wooden counter top.

He was... wonderful. He was witty and intelligent, he was kind and she couldn't help but look at his defined features and magnificent mane as he spoke. And for his title he was very down to earth and easy to talk to. She looked at him, his eyes were twinkling with joy and she was so glad that she, or her drink, could bring him happiness. These unusual feelings for him she felt were, she decided, quite wonderful.

She took them and put them into the cash box "All right then, I just have to get some stuff from the pantry first." She entered the storage room and came back with bundles of different herbs and vegetables with a bag of potatoes. She set down the ingredients on the counter and began to chop and peel everything in preparation, as she did this she used her telekinesis to fill a cauldron with water and place it over the fire pit besides the counter. "Any allergies or preferences Silvermane?" She asked.

MaryAnne saw the water was boiling and swept the chopped ingredients into the pot and put a lid on it. She sat down besides Silvermane again and took a sip of her ale again. "All right then. It should be ready in an hour or so." She said then followed his gaze to the dancing flames.

"I'm not deaf" she started laughing. "I'm just dizzy. See! It's gone already!" she stood up, noticing her total lack of balance when she felt grass against her side.

"It's ok! I just tripped a little" she said serious and burst into laughing. "I totally miss the farm! Guess I wanted to get there too fast.."

"That sounds like it would be quite lovely Silvermane. Where is this 'trek'?" She replied and then inquired further. She leaned back in her chair resting her eyes on the patched up ceiling. This place sure has some story's to tell. She thought to herself as she reminisced on all the events and parts of her history here. This was her home, ratty and homely but her home all the same. The floor boards were worn and scuffed from hundreds of hooves and in one corner she could see the imprint left by somepony with horse shoes that stomped their hoof. She saw the mix-matched tables and chairs and she could see her and her older sister running all around the tavern and her parents tending the bar. She saw the place that she grew up, her home forever and she sighed happily as she enjoyed this peaceful moment.

Decan walked into the small building next to the tavern, sat down and started carving the wood he got from the forest so he could fix the table's. <This is going to take a while.> He thought, standing up, throwing a log into the fire, filling a tea kettle up with water, placing it on the fire and sitting back down to continue his work.

Chancy looked at her skeptically, then began to join in her laughter, pulling her into a hug, saying "Well then I guess we should get there in no time, won't we? But first, you need to rest. No use trying to get back if you're just going to kill yourself on the way!"

She then stood up and began to gaze around, trying to find a decent resting point, off of the trail.

"Well, the mountain looks pretty close" she then looked to the ground "The ground looks so far instead, I feel like I'm a meter high! Woooo!"

She then noticed that her behavior could be considered off by ponies that hadn't been exposed to blood loss and said seriously while standing up and tumbling mildly "Let's find a nice spot or continue moving slowly towards Canterlot"

After a couple hours of carving and quite a few cups of tea Decan finished the legs for the tables and was now laying on the floor attaching the chair leg to the chair (Duh.) . <Well, It didn't take as long as I expected.> He thought standing up and stretching.

He looked at the small pile's of wood shavings scattered across his floor. <I am going to get that later.> Decan picked up the chair and one of the tables then walked into the tavern next door where MaryAnne and Lord Silvermane sat. "MaryAnne, I finished the tables and the chair, Is there any specific place they should go ?" He asked placing the table on the floor and awaiting an answer.

"Thank you Decan, they look as good as new. No better than ever. Do you see that part of the room over there that seems pretty empty? There and around in any empty place." She smiled and thanked him. "Would you like some assistance with setting it?" She asked him then remarked, "If you keep up the work at this pace you shall have soon payed off the cost of the building!"

"Speaking of which." Decan pulled ten bits from a small sack resting on his side. "We agreed Ten bits a month and I never paid you for the first month, So here you are." He Gave the bits to MaryAnne. "And I can manage, thank you though." He said, picking up the table and chair then placing them were Maryanne instructed.

MaryAnne smiled "Well no that will be fine, would you like to accompany us for a meal. The soup smells ready now." She stood up and moved over to the pot. She lifted the lid and smoothly ladled soup into two bowls, she then held the ladle in hesitation above the third bowl. The soup was a creamy brown with floating bits of carrot and other herbs, the delicious aroma wafted through the room.
