Just kidding, I'm sure that was just a funny coincidence.  It was the first thought on my mind too, I would really find that to be SUCKISH if the third part of the crossover got the shaft over this.

It's that last one. They love TF and it's arguably one of their biggest lines ever since they got the license back in 2005. Not to say they don't like MLP, but I doubt they would have willingly chose doing more MLP over Transformers. Especially given their financial troubles as of late this is more of a case of being unable to keep the license and Hasbro taking things elsewhere
