Fuoco raised an eyebrow at the explanation of secrecy, then rubbed her forehead in exasperation. "So, if, and I'm speaking hypothetically, you were to be charmed, influenced, or otherwise impaired in such a way that the rest of us didn't notice. We'd all walk blindly into a trap?" She sighed, "Had I known this was the plan, I'd have never agreed to join."

She looked out the window, "Last I checked, on the way here, the grass and water out there is still good, and since our plan was to visit potentially abandoned locations, it seems very short sighted to not have brought enough supplies for the whole journey. But I digress, maybe our situation back there is so dire that extra supplies simply aren't available. If that is the case, I think we have a right to know."

Blu could see that this wasn't likely to be a productive meeting. If Starlight wasn't willing to apologize for the small things, like calling him the filly hero when he was not a filly, she was highly unlikely to apologize or adequately recompense the larger things, like assaulting him.

Blu listened to their proposal, thought about it for a moment, then shook his head.

"No. You want my help, you'll get it on my terms."

Besides, I fought a dragon on the way here and found my current equipment lacking. I'll need supplies and time to improve them before I'll be willing to go anywhere."

Fuoco kept to herself how a well trained siren could easily enthrall the whole lot, and how the fact that the designated protector and the protectee seemed to have a romantic connection would make disabling Diamond nigh impossible if it came down to it. She was confident in her own ability to save herself if this mission fell apart.

Not only that but fuoco might've forgotten that White Light has one of Starlight's equipment that absorbs any non changeling magic. Hence a sirens song will just end up as a song and just power up white's Sword. Hence why Diamond Tiara prefer White Light by her side. The flirting might be just a bonus.

the royal guard would escort you to the bath house. There, a giant pool with matching pony ornaments spitting water. But the place has seen better days. The roof is broken, some of the ornaments have a decapitated head, and the tiles have cracks.

"Please take your time and relax a bit, I'll be just outside if you ever need me."

His expression hardened, "It was public property when I entered the building, and you forcibly prevented me from leaving after you told me that you had seized it. Where I come from, that's considered assault, if not battery. Your inability to control yourself is hardly my fault."

He reached into his stuff and pulled out a single bullet, one of the few he had left from his sidearm. "If you could make, oh, a few dozen copies of this, that would be a good start. And a gauge of your ability to fabricate."

Fuoco didn't have much experience with anti-magic, and had never encountered something that could resist a Siren, so she was reasonable in thinking the situation more precarious than it was. She also wasn't too concerned, they seemed to be a good distance from the ocean anyway.

 

Once they were distanced from the others Fuoco asked, "What was that about? What sort of things did she teach you?"

"Understood. I'll make sure this is a short one, though" replied Shamrock, looking around carefully. He started to suspect the treatment he was receiving. Far too warm for the situation and more so given he was a total stranger. He would wait for the guard to walk out before getting close to the pool.

"Something feels out of place" he thought to himself as he dipped the tip of his hoof into the pool. Was the water poisoned? Maybe it was an acid bath? He had to test it before he could proceed to take a bath.

"Hrm, the minerals on my hoof aren't fissing. Most likely not acid" he deducted. He would need to take a leap of faith and wash himself hoping the water wasn't poisoned. He looked for a towel and picked one from the many folded in a rack. He looked for a bucket to pick some water to pour on himself. He didn't want to polute the whole pool. He took his clothes off and a deep breathe.

*SPLASH*

"Agh! It's really cold... makes sense" he was shivering. The water got, indeed, heavilly poluted. It dragged not only filth, but also ash and dirt. He picked a soap from nearby and started to wash himself with it, keeping it away from his eyes. He didn't want to let his guard down.

*SPLASH*

The soapy water became reddish as it ran towards the drain. Blood. The water was washing away the blood. For a moment, he recalled that dirty street and the cold rain. The blood getting washed away as his jaw dropped onto the floor. -GASP-. He shook his head and panted.

*SPLASH*

The water was cleaner now. No more blood. He was almost ready. He took another deep breathe and washed his face rigurously and as quick as possible.

He opened his eyes and turned around as if possessed, looking around just in case anyone was trying to ambush him.

Starlight was interested in where he got the bullet from.

" Interesting choice of weapon? A metal pellet? What you throw this at someone?" She'd then made  200 bullets.

" Do not underestimate what the colt's weapon can do to that piece of metal." Alpha replied to Starlight.

" ..hmm interesting.... Noted." She answered back.

" Even i would think Twice to cross Scootaloo." Starlight Glimmer remarked.

" Whats with you with crossing powerful beings?" Starlight added.

 

" But i want you." Alpha pointed at Blu.

"To have you, I'll do anything. Name your price."

Upon hearing this Starlight and Lyra would blush a bit.

"He's too young for you." Lyra worriedly replied.

" Tsk... Im being serious here, dont make me look like some kind of pervert."

" Curious? I graduated from the school of friendship. And she was one of my teachers. She is one of the ponies i highly respect. Since even when she was a caring teacher, i was no match for her. May it be sports, combat or self defense... I was even allowed to use my dragon abilities and woul still lose." 

Shed then whisper to Fuoco. " Don't let her blindness fool you though. I think shes ten times stronger now than the last time i had a match with her. And now she's an X smile agent and was the previous alpha.

" I can hear you Basher." Applebloom coldly reply. 

Basher could only sneaker and apologize.

" Thats why she's still my favorite." Basher added.

"No basher. I'm a bad influence. I was young and inexperienced. And i paid the price. If you respect me that much, then do not follow my wrong ways and be a better pony than me. Which i know you can." Apple bloom gave her encouragement.

" What about me teach?" Griff asked.

" ... You're good too griff."

Her reply kind of saddened Griff.

It seems a mare has snuck up on Shamrock without him noticing and is quite near the pool with him.

She was a unicorn with purple fur and orange long mane. 

" What's your name?" The overly friendly Unicorn asked.

"EEEEEK" the pegasus chirped at the surprise. He leaped backwards closer to the entrance and proceeded to cover his shame.

"G-guard! There's s-somepony else here!" he yelled, blushing as he tried to cover himself with his wings and hooves. By whatever the reason, he would feel ashamed if caught naked despite living in a society where pretty much everyone -royalty and politicians included- would be nude all the time.

The guard quickly opens the door knocking you back either by the door or by him. The unexpected collision would make you lose sight of the mare and direct your attention to the Guard.

" What! Intruder? Where?"

The guard would look around but see no pony nor creature.

"Me...? I'm kind of a jack of all trades. I know a little bit of most topics. Can do plumbing, carpentry, cooking, a bit of medicine..." he pointed a hoof at his own chest. He had some recently made stitches on a clean wound. "If we were to talk about what am I better at than average, that would have to be alchemy and machinery. I learned a good amount of alchemy as of late. But I'd need a lab -even a kitchen would do- and a few selected books to adapt what I know to this universe. Laylines tend to change between universes and all that. As for machinery, physical laws work almost exactly the same between universes. Sciences are kinder to travellers, so to speak" Shamrock added.

"So, what exactly do you guys need the most right now? I can transmutate stuff into some basic medicines, make blankets from wood and some plants and brew some metabolic potions with the right household items as well. If there are mechanisms broken I might be able to repair them. Just let me know what can I do for everypony" he concluded.

Laylines tend to change between universes and all that. As for machinery, physical laws work almost exactly the same between universes. "So, what exactly do you guys need the most right now? I can transmutate stuff into some basic medicines, make blankets from wood and some plants and brew some metabolic potions with the right household items as well. If there are mechanisms broken I might be able to repair them. Just let me know what can I do for everypony" he concluded.

The guard gulp and gave a slight laugh.

" Hehe... Pretty much every skill you mentioned is needed. We need medicine beds and a roof on our heads. Sure we have the castle. But its quite cramp and the tents are all damaged." The guard ponders. " I guess fixing of the tents should be the priority."

The guard would lead Shamrock outside into the gardens, where the refugee's were supposed to have stationed their tents. But this was were the battlefield have sprung. And now the place is in rubbles.

" Sigh... A lot were injured and missing. The battle is still fresh in our minds but the enemy gives no time for us to mourn or rest.... So we need to be fast and repair as much as we can." The guard starts to pick up some debris and follow suit from the others who are already tidying up the place.

Blu looked a bit more concerned by this suggestion. "If it's all the same, I'd prefer to have the books. You'll find I'm a rather quick study, and besides, it will take at least a full day to upgrade and test my equipment, I won't need that much time to read through the materials."

Fuoco was surprised that Applebloom had overheard them, as she had purposefully waited until they had gotten some distance before asking. "She's got quite the ears on her doesn't she?"

Anyway, it seemed that Applebloom had been a teacher before, which was interesting, but it was time to be focused on the task at hoof. As she kept a vigil she asked Basher, "So, is it just normal ponies who lived here before? Or was this like a colony of some other race? I mean, what sort of creatures should we look out for in terms of friendlies?"

But nothing can beat experience.

Sure you've read how magic works. But it'll still take you time to have a feel on how it works. Im just showing you how it feels so when you use it it would be easier since you know how it flows and feels like."

" We do have rules here and you do not call the shots of others to execute someone. If what you say is true and proven, then she will be sentenced accordingly. And i myself have dealt with agents who have committed acts of evil before. I don't take kindly to murder. So Blu... Let me hold that judgement for her punishment."

Basher would give you a strange look and it'd remind her that you arent from this dimension. 

" Oh yeah, you aren't originally from this dimension. Well since Twilight's rain all sentient beings lived peacefully with one another and are tasked to aid the lesser ones."

" So even if you find a bunny a snake or any creature that are not aggressive, we are tasked to save them. Everyone has a roll in life and is critical to the balance of all things, that is what Lady Fluttershy has thought us... The purple creatures or anything trying to actively kill us is another thing. They were 2 blocks away from the bell tower when it started to ring on its own.

It echoed through the empty streets and shucked  everyone near it.

This heavily affected Apple bloom though.

" Dagnabit!" She exclaimed.

This would cause Griff to stop flying and cover his ears while Basher would find cover. Seeing this everyone followed suit on what Basher did.

" ... I think it's safe to say we've been spotted..." Griff guessed.

"Fixing the tents will be then" Shamrock confirmed solemnly. He walked around the place to inspect the remnants of what used to be the tents. He picked up the fabric and passed his hooves over it. "Do you want me to make new ones? Or patching up will do? Also, would you accept a design change?" he pondered as he looked for paper and a pencil to start working on his idea. Given the likeliness of more attacks, he was thinking on making foldable tents with wire. Ones easy enough to uninstall they could put them away quickly before or during a battle so there would be less repairments to be done in the future.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Would you happen to have a book on this universe's magical geometry? I can make things faster through alchemy if I get to know how does magic circuits work. Even basic magical runes could help" Shamrock asked as he observed the charred corner of what once seemed to be part of a tent.
