Okay, so Izzy meets Jade, a Seapony of the Jade Sea. I'm guessing that the Jade Sea is the destination marked on the map of the Isle of Scaly where Seaponies are shown to be located. Destiny's design was very reminiscent of the Seaponies of Seaquestria. Hopefully we will see more of the Seaponies in future episodes, maybe even Mermares and other undersea races. 

I'll be very interested to see where ponies go in Set Your Sail when they travel to the Sparking Seas.

For the first ever special of TYT, they really knocked it out of the park with this grand creative quest starring Izzy! Seeing her go from place to place was so much fun and they brought back seaponies too! I loved both of the songs in this special and the animation keeps getting better with each new episode.

Allura came back too and it looks like she’s trying to find a cool place to plot her next moves and steal the Novacharm so that she can go back to Starlight Ridge, but what I think she should do is wait for one of the ponies to open a portal and go in after them, but with the charm broken up now, she’ll have a lot of work to do before she can actually go back home.

Izzy’s new amusement park at the end was so cool too and I’m so happy that Izzy found a new calling for herself and it was so heartwarming seeing everypony have fun and get their own special booths and attractions too.

All in all, a very wonderful 22 minute special for TYT and I can’t wait for more!

I like that the remembered the seaponies from G4, which should really be called hippocamps.

But is this going to be how they bring back all the other species? Casual introductions rather then a big reunion?

Also what was that that happened with their cutie marks? I guess Destiny is going to show up again. I imagine she's going to tell her friends in Seaquestria how she meet a unicorn and they say how unicorns are myths, unlike the hippocamps, hippogriffs and griffins they know.

She said lughter can fix anything. I wonder what pony could have taught her people that?

I think TYT is better then MYM. Somehow the stories seem better even though they're half the length. Better songs and it's on-par 2D animation is less annoying then MYM's sub-par 3D animation.

I'm not convinced that Destiny is from Seaquestria, but time may tell. I do think that there are natural Seaponies as well as the Hippogriff-Seaponies. Maybe it's normal for natural-born Seaponies to have cutie marks?

If you notice, Destiny’s designs seems closer to a translation between a regular G5 pony and seapony. Hippogriff-seaponies had a more slender and larger design, while the Mane 6 and the cuties were a more direct translation between their regular forms and seapony. It could be very well Destiny’s breed of seapony is the as we know unseen seapony based on regular ponies, or could also be ponies integrating in Aeris and mixing up with its natural residents.

This was a very good first special from TYT! Easily the strongest Izzy-focused plot we've been given yet, world exploration, great songs, seaponies, Allura and Twitch, a moment showing us that Allura actually cares about Twitch, a very pleasant surprise, and a wholesome ending. Only things I didn't like were Sparky blowing raspberries and...um...

Episodes Since Comet's Last Appearance: 10

Yeah, this was the biggest slap in the face the guy's gotten yet. Not because they went out of their way to include Starlight Ridge and an Auroricorn but not him. No, it's worse. If Allura and Twitch are trapped in Equestria forever now with the Nova Charm being gone...so is Comet. And he's not even acknowledged. That's just...wrong.

This is a good example that TYT can greatly benefit from being 22 minutes long instead of 5 minutes of disconnected stories.  Are they trying to reintroduce the Rainbow Power up?  Izzy sure got a glow up when she (her cutie mark, or the Nova crystal?) was converting her imagination into reality. 

Izzy is an omega-level reality warper confirmed  

I look forward to hopefully the other five getting a similar episode each.

So… Destiny and Izzy are totally gonna get shipped together, huh? I mean Izzy even says she had a date with Destiny. I ship it. Also loved Destiny’s design, super pretty.

This just makes me want more long form TYT content honestly. The shorts are fine but if they tried to cover this episode in short form it 100% would’ve felt too rushed. I mean the song and intro itself was about 3 minutes. Close to the whole runtime of a TYT short.

Pretty good start for the TYT specials though. Loved seeing Izzy get some well deserved screen time. Wonder who will end up being the focus in the next one?

"Shipped together" might be a little strong considering that Izzy could have just been making a pun. But they were cute together!

I hope they will finally do something interesting with Allura, other than a few cute moments with Twitch she really did not do much. If sea ponies are back I hope we will get kirins too, maybe an introduction to bat ponies.

Totally, Izzy basically confirmed it . Not sure when we will see Destiny again, for all we know she might be a one off character but for the time being I totally support this ship.

Well, they’ve introduced G5 originals auroricorns . THEY RAN OUT OF EXCUSES TO LEAVE OUT MY BAAAAAAAATS

Now this is what I was talking about, finally new locations and characters, and the Dragons and Auroricorns finally escaped from limbo (Comet's absence lowers it a bit tho), and holy cow, this 22 minute format surely made the difference, I still prefer the MyM way of story telling as I still feel some strong reminscent of the flip flop rushed format of the 4 minute shorts here, but this already a awesome start, really wish all episodes from now on were this long

I really liked Allura's character here and her powers, I really like how they are trying to not make she look like exactly a villain, and the concept of her trying to avoid others from noticing her really amuses me, hope they keep up with it, I just think they made a mistake by making Sunny and the others being aware of her going to Maretime Bay in this Season's first episode, and no one talked about it again, so...?

All the excessive use of magic in this episode really confused me and I'm not sure if Izzy's rainbow appearance is meant to be the transformation from Twilight's Kingdom, maybe I'm just lost 

Also, I really liked the Seapony, awesome design and that seems to be a interesting place, but now I'm worried about it, because when Izzy mentioned Destiny as a Seapony no one reacted to it, as if they already knew about it. I'm aware that Seaponies already showed up in the comics and that could be the reason why it's not a surpise for them, the problem is, I still need to get to that part of the comic, and not everyone who watches the show reads the comics, and the introduction of Seaponies is a big deal, I don't think they should make this into a comic exclusive thing, I don't know, I liked the moment but it was weird for me because I felt that I missed something, even Izzy herself when she meets Destiny she doesn't say something like "What creature are you?", but "A Real Seapony!", as if she already knew what a Seapony is, if not's the case then or I forgot about something important in the previous episodes or they released this out of order (again), I'm looking forward to the comics but In case I'm correct I still don't think it's a good idea to keep important info and events exclusive to them, the show just doesn't give the context.

Also, wasn't Twitch meant to be with the Mane Six? He left Allura in their latest appearance in the show, what happened ?

The Set Your Sail miniseries hasn't started yet; I think the first issue drops next week (on 10 April). Ponykind probably still knows about Seaponies from the historical records, though maybe pony mariners still encounter them occasionally.

So it turns out that I was right on the possibility of the special releasing within a week from Easter Sunday.

Several other animated shows are coming back this weekend, so I am really happy about this

This was a nice surprise and I will update my post once I finish watching it as I just saw this right now.

I LOVED this special with Izzy. This was definitely one of my favorite episodes of TYT. The 22 minute run time helped this episode so much more than the short form 5 minute episodes we usually get.

Izzy's creative quest was very fun with her going all over the map. I couldn't stop laughing at the trust fall with Blaze. I definitely know there will be memes of that scene.

I found Izzy's interaction with Destiny very cute!!! I know she made a pun that she "had a date with Destiny", but I have a feeling that there might be more there down the line if they ever explore that possible ship.

Allura really missed her chance on doing anything to steal the Nova charm from Izzy. She just stood there letting Izzy's creative juices flow. I thought they were going to steal the Nova Charm there. They fooled me.

Also did anyone get elements of Harmony vibes when the Nova Charm split up into pieces? I though maybe they were going to separate throughout the world or something that would lead the cast to go on a journey, but instead they got absorbed by the Abandoned Fairgrounds. It's an odd choice, but I feel like Misty is going to play a big role for the other ponies in this regard.

Idk if I'm misremembering, but what's the deal with braids throughout G5? I don't find anything wrong with braids per say, but is there some symbolism that I am missing here as I keep seeing them constantly in G5. Maybe it's how they are all constantly connected?

Holy cow, I forgot that I thought the pieces of the nova charm would separate throughout the world just like Dragon Balls so the cast would need to find them, specially that the leaks show several different places like mayan pyramids, I think they kind of lost a opportunity here but whatever XD didn't notice the braids thing tho, went as something trivial for me.

Right? I got all excited thinking they would go throughout the world, but they ended up getting absorbed into the abandoned Fairgrounds. Then I thought, can't Allura just go retrieve them later? THEY ARE LITERALLY OUT IN THE OPEN, unless they say that they are protected by some magic spell or so like the Crystal Brighthouse.

Maybe they just can't be brought together to reform the Nova Charm anymore? It's actually quite bizarre how together (Nova Charm) it has the purpose of serving as a portal while separately they are used to power up the fairgrounds, or maybe they separately also create portals? (Maybe leading to those places that appear in the leaks?), I don't know, but this part of the Amusement Park seemed pretty out of nowhere to me just like the scene with Destiny, also I forgot to talk about that

I thought it was already released, well, even if these comics aren't important for the continuity, still, it's weird that we just get a introduction to Seaponies out of nowhere with not context, it doesn't make sense, when the Mane Six met the Dragons they didn't knew what to expect, so they were surprised, The Auroricorns not that much because they were nearly identical in appearance to regular ponies but you could still see that they didn't know about them

Even if they were aware about the existence of Seaponies, it's still a lot weird that no one reacts to it when Izzy refers to Destiny as a Seapony, Izzy at least gets a genuine surprised reaction, but the other 5 are just "well, cool, fuck it"? Like, it's literally the introduction of a new race in the series and they treat it as something trivial, doesn't make sense for me

This was a fun episode  It's a shame that all episodes of Tell Your Tale aren't 22 minutes long like this. Izzy was particularly adorable in this.  Some nice new songs in this episode too. I look forward to hearing the full length versions when they become available.

I hope the next one of these 22 minute specials is focused on Sunny. Ever since the movie she seems to be getting less and less screen time and she was originally the main character of this generation.
