why isn't there a MLP life sim game?

it would be perfect for kids and older fans alike!  both love creating ponies, and both would love the chance to be friends with their favorite characters!  imagine a game where you live in Ponyville or Maretime Bay.  you make your pony, and then you befriend mane and side characters!  you could do odd jobs around town to earn bits and decorate your home, and they'd be fun minigames!  maybe you could help out at Mane Melody, or join Hitch and Zipp as they try to solve a mystery!  or you could bake cupcakes with Pinkie Pie or buck apples with the Apple family!

personally i think G4 has a lot more to work with, but G5 feels like the most likely one since the recent console games have been G5.  Hasbro's missing out not making something like this!!

EB: well you see, the explanation is perfectly simple and scientific.
EB: it was because shut up.
EB: shut up is why.

I'm pretty sure, the Pony Town works well. I didn't play it much but seems you may hang out there with original characters and roleplayers of the show characters doing everything you described. Maybe ponies who played it more can change my mind tho.

I'm pretty happy with the new mlp games, but definitely agree a more sims like game would be a steller idea! For both gens it would be awesome, and many would enjoy it. I'm surprised they haven't with how much traction MLP gets, and the fan base for it

Legends of Equestria and Magic Princess (gameloft game) come to mind in this topic. You can create your own pony and interact with NPC ponies and users in LoE, and you can collect ponies, dress them, take photos, watch the ponies interact with each other, play games with your favorites and grow friendship in the gameloft game.

Pony Town is a mixed bag since all the interactions are with roleplayers, and Magic Princess is both a freemium nightmare and not even close to what i was talking about.  Legends of Equestria i might hop back on someday, haven't been on it in too long.  Tales from the Herd just seems like it's taking the Cattails route of filing off the serial numbers to be its own game, but you know what, i like Cattails, i'll give it a shot.

There’s actually a game like that being developed I guess. Called “Tales from the Herd”, I don’t remember how I heard about it but it’s been on my steam wishlist for a while.  Here’s the link to it.

Great suggestion! Hopefully it gets finished because pony projects tend to stagnate with development. :kindness: It genuinely seems like a good game to play on a Steam Deck or similar.
