The recent purchases thread

It's 3am, I got paid today and I can't sleep so I did some shopping lol

I got four or five von dutch hats from Fashion Nova due to their sale.

Bought a case and a lock for my Labubu so I can hang it from my purse and not worry about someone stealing it (as people have been doing).

Tatcha is having their big sale so I bought some backups.

Might hop on depop later.

Clutch springs and plain clutch plates for my BSA Bantam rebuild. Hopefully that's the last of the new clutch bits I need! Have been several.....

I'm not drowning in enough history books apparently...

Particularly look forward to reading the first as I've already read another book on radical Jewish currents but noticed biases or bits I was unconvinced about and would love to compare and contrast. It's a fascinating read though because it's little known history I never knew about until relatively recently. It already contains info my other book missed out on so I'm already pleased!

^ The 'I Am Tired Of Defeats' chapter of Revolutionary Yiddishland is a fantastic read and I haven't even finished it yet. Reaffirms my beliefs completely.

I recently bought a beautiful white and red keffiyeh as well as a black one. AO0tJe4.png

Bought these two lovely band tapestries:

Would have just gotten the first but I also love the album of the second and a tapestry depicting the fall of Constantinople is just soooo cool and soothes the nerd in me. I love the designs of the Dardanelles bombards.

I bought a lot of paper padded envelopes, which I intend on using now Instead of the traditional white or yellow ones. They’re fully recyclable and biodegradable like any other paper bag, which is my reason for switching. With these pretty much everything I ship with should be biodegradable, recyclable, reused, or made from recycled material.

Thank you for going the extra mile to care for our planet <3

I got this bad boy ordered

HOMCOM-Floor-Lamp-with-Shelves,-Dual-Lig

As well as two LED bulbs for it, should be cool :]

With some LED strips, a curtain over the kitchen doorway and a small table by the window, the room will be considered done finally, but this lamp will make it officially fully functional. I also should see if I can get a bow frame for my archery bow over my desk...

Ohhh Mutual Aid :] I own it too but I haven't read it yet, I've only read The Conquest of Bread. I do own a few ecology textbooks and want to compare his concepts with modern day ecology to see how his ideas hold up with modern understandings of ecology. He truly was a man after my own heart though.

Wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on the book if you read it and feel like sharing :]

When I read it, I can tell you my thoughts about this book, but that won’t be any time soon.  I'm going to read some books first, then The Conquest of Bread and then Mutual Aid.

I had a phone call with my Dad today since I'll be visiting him for the month this Friday and apparently my newest stuffed animal I got off eBay arrived! Or technically, my oldest.

Images_43.jpg.ea21a9a5c7f786e6dfc8d666709bbda6.jpg

(should note this isn't the exact one I've gotten, same plush different listing.)

It's Hoppopotamus from The Wuzzles! She's my current obscure character obsession and since she's from a show made to sell children toys obviously I, the 20 year old grown man, had to buy the toy they were selling. Thankfully, it turns out the plushies of her on eBay were pretty cheap! Guess there's so little people nostalgic for it there's like zero demand for these.

Most cool thing about her is that she's the oldest stuffed animal I currently own, the oldest I've owned before was a plush of Oblina from Aahhh! Real Monsters from 1997 (I think?) and this one is from 1984. That's exactly 20 years before I was born! And currently 41 years old! The age worries me a bit because I don't know if it'll be in the best quality but I could probably fix her up if I have to. Can't be that hard, right?

I've been so excited since I heard the news that today has felt really, REALLY slow compared to normal. The next 3 days are gonna feel like the next 3 years at this point. :fluttershysad:

Other than food, the usual boring routine, I got this, Warner Brothers classics cartoons. I am hoping my favourite episode of Sylvester and Tweety is in this set, the one where Sylvester has that bad dream of Tweety taking that Hyde potion and becoming a giant monster, I thought that was hilarious, it is so absurd but at the same time it brings a barrel of laughs.
