critique wanted Anyone have color suggestions for my ponysona?

the colors just dont feel right on my ponysona but i dont know what do change about it. If anyone could help, thatd be great
its supposed to be sort of a background pony, and the cutie mark is for astronomy.

(and yes, i know its a recolor, im sorry.)

I couldn't say it any better than GeneralDirection did above me. Experiment and see what you like. Could help to research what colors go well together, or try using your favorite colors and see if they work together.

The issue is the lack of contrast and overall darkness. While these are all lovely shades of blue, they're similar enough that at an arms distance, I lose the ability to see a difference of color on the mane, and from the corner of my eye it's just a dark silhouette.

First you have to decide which do you want to be darker, the mane or the body?

If you choose mane, lighten the body, and then lighten the highlight even more, and match that to your eye color if you so please.

If you choose body, lighten the mane, and then darken (or maintain) the highlight, and match that to your eye color.

She comes out much clearer when placed on a black background, which tells me it might be best to start by lightening her overall. Otherwise you could end up with too much contrast.
