qwertz6607 100 November 26 Share November 26 Ok, so, anybody got a pretty good burger place 'round them? Should you be lucky enough to have a nearby burger place, how would you rate it? Pretty good, or meh, maybe not even worth the review and you'd probably rather set the place on fire at night than go there ever again, or was it the best burger you've had? Topic by request of that dude in the taco variation of this. 1
darkwingmare 1,319 November 26 Share November 26 (edited) HEYYYY! LEMME TELL YOU! Here in Palma de Mallorca we have this place called BADAL CORNER. That place... Has literally the best burgers I've ever eaten. They hand you a paper with plenty of different choices for each element of the damn burger. You can customize it yourself, choose what type of bread you want, if you want the "burger" to be veg or not, what type of meat you want, how raw or well done you want the burger to be... You can literally adjust your burger to your own perfection with a few choices written down on a piece of paper. All you need to do is to check the boxes you prefer. My personal favorite though is one with mushrooms, thin fried potato flakes, melted brie. It is... THE BOMB!! Their fries are DELICIOUS and you can choose any sauce you want! AND IT'S CHEAP, ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT! They are not messing around, I'm telling you. Don't walk, RUN if you ever spot Badal Corner! DebonedAngel 196 November 26 Share November 26 Well, I don't often eat burgers because I'm vegan, but I did have a vegan burger from "Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers" this weekend, and it was pretty good! It came with tiny fries, and it had corn and beans in it, I liked it. I think it's just a chain though, not a local thing. There's also Sl*tty Vegan, which is great, it's vegan, and they have gooooood burgers, so greasy and they put vegan bacon and vegan shrimps and vegan cheese and sauce and mmmmm, it's so so good, I can't afford it often, but I LOVE it if I am treating myself.
Bright Honor 2,669 November 26 Share November 26 I love burgers. There’s this place in the city called ZiggyBombs. My favorite place for a burger. I like to keep it simple with burgers too. Cheese, maybe some bacon.
SharpWit 2,644 November 27 Share November 27 For years I've been meaning to make a rating system for burger places. For me, the best you can get, is a plain, in house smash burger, comes with 2 slices of American cheese, fries that don't need ketchup, and a chocolate shake. That shows they can follow instructions, make you something fresh with fresh ingredients, know that a single cheese slice will discovered and leave you wanting, have quality fries that are worth getting on their own, and a nice classic desert to finish it off. I had the idea because I'd been eating a lot of burgers a few summers ago, and was giving Hops&Drops a try. They're a chain of family friendly sports bars with a nice drink selection. But they impressed me with how good the burger and fries were. It ticked all of the boxes, except they don't have shakes. They've got other great stuff too but the burger hits the spot, especially when you've eaten your share of frozen patties recently.

Iforgotmybrain 5,653 November 27 Share November 27 I had Five Guys on Monday, burger I got was so big I'm pretty sure it took a solid year off my lifespan. It was good for sure but for the price they ask? Not worth it, it's really not that much better than Wendy's. Locally, the best burger I've ever had was at a now closed tavern situated just off Lake Erie. I think it was so good because there was almost more cheese on it than meat. Either way, I will never forget that burger, it was perfect.
Dreambiscuit 9,691 November 27 Share November 27 There are lots of burger places around where I live. And I’ll always love the tried-and-true McD’s for their greasy goodness. 8/10 There are good burgers where I work (Disneyland) but the prices are ridiculous (almost $17!) Some of that price goes toward the atmosphere, so 8.5/10 There’s a place I like in Lost Hills, CA, which I have on good authority serves (or served) horse meat burgers. I don’t think that counts as local, but it deserves mention cuz they’re really tasty. 8/10 Best restaurant burger I’ve had was not local, but at a coffee shop in Fitzgerald’s casino in Tunica, MS. Their giant mushroom Swiss burger merits discussion just for its insane quality. 10/10 And the ultimate local burger (local because I can get it anywhere there’s a barbeque grill) is my dad’s immortal flame broiled camp burgers. They’re so good your soul will want to pull free of its moorings and dance among the twinkling stars. 100/10

Cheese... sometimes, but vegan cheese is coming a long way. But honestly, some of the burgers are just as good as the regular stuff, I can't even tell the difference between a whopper and an impossible whopper, so... there's no reason to eat animals in my opinion! I've got my proteins, I can still eat the food I like, and it's healthy, I enjoy it

Megas 27,622 November 27 Share November 27 (edited) I love burgers, they’re probably one of my favorite foods. Around where I live there’s tons of really good local places, especially when a lot of them are bars. Kopp’s is especially really good. I won’t say no to chains, if I’m feeling cheap I’ll get some McDoubles, though if I can I’ll go to Carl’s Jr. that said I still prefer regional chains like Culver’s or In N Out Edited November 27 by Megas
