SharpWit 3,048 November 27 Share November 27 It's the day before Thanksgiving in the "Good Ol' US of A™" and many are hard at work in their kitchens getting ready for the holiday! My question for all of you is simply this. What will you be making/bringing this year? And if you don't celebrate for one reason or another, what's something you've made/brought from a past or upcoming gathering? I myself am planning on making Macaroni Muffins, a dastardly fusion of cheesy carbs, as well as a Pumpkin Curry.

Envy 6,519 November 28 Share November 28 No family here this year. Can't afford the plane tickets. So it was just my dog and I. lol All I really did was bake some homemade rolls and had a baked potato as well. I was hoping to do something more with the rolls like spaghetti, but I was too lazy. 2 2 Everything needs more woodwind!
Longhaul 10,034 November 28 Share November 28 I don't go all out like I used to do, mainly because it's just me and there's no reason for the hassle. What I used to do in past dinners was make a maple-mustard glazed pork roast with homemade bread stuffing on the side, along with mashed potatoes and gravy. 3 Signature wanted -- inquire within

Dreambiscuit 12,533 Sunday at 09:24 AM Share Sunday at 09:24 AM I brought mostly traditional fare to my Thanksgiving table; a turkey, my mom’s classic recipe stuffing, cranberry sauce (both berry and jelly), with the one new element of green beans with toasted onion topping instead of the usual yams, mashed potatoes and corn. Next year we’ll be going back to the latter. I don’t do all the cooking; I have a permanent houseguest who is far more adept in the kitchen and she did the heavy lifting so to speak. I helped a little and made the pumpkin pie for dessert. Later in the day when everyone else was having turkey sandwiches, I kept my personal tradition of leftover pizza. 1
