The weirdest/oddest way that you were introduced to MLP FIM

I beat all of you for sure, the weirdest way and saddest way possible I got introduced to MLP is through this video...

 

After watching the video, I looked at the comments on where this song came from, and my Journey continued....

I saw plenty of ponies on YouTube poops now and then. My first video I saw that was MLP related was Twilight's Special Message. My reaction: what did I just watch? So I watched an episode to see what the show's all about, not that I was looking for anything naughty like my first vid showed.

I actually did not know anything about it until I was chiling with an old friend from highschool in like 2012. We were smoking some weed, (like we always do.) and on his COD he had like a pink pony Icon (pinkie Pie) and i was like "what the hell is that." and he explained it and i was a little taken aback but he was my buddy so i was not going to avoid him and we dropped it. then i finally started noticing on youtube people had Pony pictures. So one day im hitting my bong and on my laptop with my roomate and i mention bronies to him and so we get high and then the bright idea comes into our head to watch it. So we do and he is making fun of it the whole time and we are laughing totally baked. We finish episode one and he's like "that was the most gay thing i have ever seen there is something wrong with someone who likes this show." exact words. and im all like "yeah right." and we laugh then when he goes off to work and im off of work i think about it and im thinking "you know i never found out what actually happened in the second episode." so i netflix it and within like 3 or 5 days i finish the season 1 (because i had work and school and things such as.) and two questions popped up in my mind

1. Why am i watching a show about magical talking ponies learning about friendship?

and 2. Why am i enjoying it this much?

and ever since then i have been a member of the herd, when my roomate found out because i eventually told him he moved out within a week. not kidding!

My first episode was too may pinkies. I didn't get the best audio, since my headphones where busted, and it was the middle of the night, but I still loved it.

This was the very first FiM video I had ever seen. Prior to this, I had no idea that MLP was anything but a shallow, shitty marketing ploy designed to hock toys to braindead parents and their bratty little girls.

 

When I clicked the video, at first I thought he was just playing some dumb kiddy game from the 80s, then I got suspicious when he started referencing characters and plot elements like an otaku would for their favorite anime. Then when the creepypasta started to flow, I knew for sure that this was no kiddy game.

 

And that was my first exposure to what a "brony" was. Ironically, I was introduced to the show by a grimdark fanwork, and now grimdark is my favorite part of the fandom. C'est la vie.

I began getting interested in MLP when I saw the second episode of FiM season 1 when I was watching it with my little sister.

My whole story is weird. I have something so weird about me: I love seeing things get smashed/destroyed. Now, I was just researching "piano drop" on youtube, when I actually stumbled across the scene in Feeling Pinkie Keen, where Derpy drops those 4 objects on Twilight. That's what started my curiosity and then it just went from there.
