Any Discworld (or generally Terry Pratchett) fans 'round here ?

For those who don't know, Discworld is a serie of over 50 (not sure about that number) novels

describing events that take place on a flat world, Discworld. The book is filled with great british

humor. It takes place in some kind of pseudo-medieval times, before massive use of gunpowder, but with some invetations from 20th century beeing added for the sake of humor. (for example, in one of the books, the Clacks, something like telegraph, are discowered.)

 

Most of all discworld books, I enjoy the ones that feature DEATH as a main character, but the Watch ones are pretty good too

 

What are your favs ?

I've yet to read any of the books, alas many a good thing has been said about them by both friend and family.

However I recently obtained Thud!, it's on my reading list. Right after a couple fanfics that I'm reading.

I can only reccomend you reading the Thud!. It's a great book, like almost all of the others.

Only Discworld book I did not like was Monstromus Regiment (or something like that, not sure about the adjective), which is a military novel with a good plot point, which is quite a good joke, but is repeated in the book so many times that it is unpleasant from half of the book on :/. Also, if you want any advice on which book to read after you've finished Thud!, feel free to ask. I've read almost all of them.
