"The senses you're feeling are a bit...unnatural. If it is really a problem, I'm pretty sure Blaze or Starbolt can find something to fix it. However, you shouldn't see it as a problem. It's something else, something you can use as a strength. You can detect certain things. Not many ponies can do that. A power that can be used for something bigger. " Carrick walked back, "Think about it, if it really is a problem. Talk to Blaze. He should be able to help you. He seems to know a lot about magic and the supernatural."

 

Snow started to laugh, "There is another option. I'll stay here and wait for him! Ice Star will come! I know he will! He always will!" Snow said with excitement. She knew that he will come. He will reigned down on these ponies. He just has to!

He nods, "Sure... special..." he says, following with his head down. Easy for a pony who doesn't have it to say, he thinks as the cold shivers gradually start returning. It wasn't quite as bad as before. Now it was more like flying in the arctic with a swarm of bats on your tail. And he could barely feel... heat. Also, the hellhound was giving of tiny feelings to, but he had learned to ignore them gradually. Huh. The red Alicorn, I think his name is Blaze? While I was running, he said something about... seeing magic residue...

Hypno looked down. He hadn't expected her to reject his help, then say that. "Alrighty... I guess that guy is going to come. But do you think this guy is honestly going to risk himself for you?" he asked "He had beaten you when you disagreed with him, but now he is going to save you when you had gotten captured?"

Blaze looked up from his book "Well it is only natural, my dad taught me about most of the magic stuff. But I majored in magic and graduated with a bachelors in Magic Arts. They teach you about all of the supernatural... well most of it, and I read a lot of books. But the weird thing is, he seems only to truly respond to Black Magic." He continued to read, this time the book was titled 'Supernatural, and folklore.' when his eyes stumbled across a paragraph. It read

'Witch hunter's were originally a clan of pilgrims in the southern part of equestria, they possessed an abnormal ability to sense Black Magic which they used to track down witches and execute them.'

"Hmm.. this article, could it be true..." Blaze said out loud.

"Witch hunting? But everypony knows there aren't real witches. There are black magic practitioners, vampires, zombies, ereponies, cockatrices, dragons, and very large bats, but no witches. At least, that's what my dad always told me..."

"Um... not to be rude or rain on your parade but there were witches. Witches were a cult of female Black Magicians. They existed long before you and me were born. And I am starting to think, you might have some witch hunter genes in you" Blaze said closing his book and putting it away.

"Witches... are... real?" he face-hooves, "This might explain the ghost-ponies dad used to talk about. Or the salt Mom put on the window sills. Or the abnormally large amount of silver in my house. Just when were they planning on telling ME any of this. Oh, if I had a horn, I would be lashin' some words right now!"

"Oh i'm sure he'll be able to use me, just like he is using you." Hypno said sadly. In his appearance he looked rather calm, but in his head he was utterly frustrated, switched from a violent mood to a calm mood each second.

"Calm down, the witch cult has been dead a very, very long time. While there are still those who use Black Magic they are best known as Black Mages, not Witches. But your parents were right about everything, there are some bad supernatural beasts out there. Put salt on a windowsill and demons cannot enter the house. No offense Daeva" Blaze said.

He looks at Deava, "But she's only half daemon. Wait, how do I know that. How do I know she's only half daemon? I've never even seen a real daemon. And how did I know that was a hellhound?" So much I don't know! If I'd only been trusted with more information, I WOULD know. Mom, Dad, why?

"You are pronouncing Demon wrong if you say it like Daemon you are saying she is half benevolent nature spirit, a being of the same nature as both mortals and gods. No she is a Deeemonnn. Meaning half devil half pony. And I would assume the salt thing would not work on her, but I dont know that for sure." Blaze said. "That might have to do with your ancestors being witch hunters. Your genes could give you access to knowledge you did not have before."

Hypno was about to answer, but all of a sudden one of his eyes flashed a red version of itself. Hypno looked troubled when it happened. "Give me a.... moment." he said as he quickly ran out of the cabin. He collapsed out of sight from everypony else. He clenched his head as suddenly the darker version of him materialized next to him. The dark energy once again started to resonate.

"Knowledge. I lack lots of that on these subjects. Plus, from th-th-th I'm going to shut up now. Before I start sprouting random factiods that nopony cares about," *Blushes and looks at feet*

Blaze felt the Black Magic permeating so thick like, that it was almost hard for him to concentrate. Blaze could only wonder how Quick was going to deal with it when it got to him. "Um hey... does any pony else feel that massive amount of dark energy?" Blaze asked.

"BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! I CAN'T SEE! I CAN"T SE *Umph*" *Runs into a wall directly opposite of the place Hypno was at, and falling unconscious momentarily. Then he seems to see the hellhound, crawls towards it, and hides behind it* "Please don't be so hungery that you need to eat me," he murmers, "I know the apple wasn't enough, but I don't have any food right now..."

"You... are very red. Why are there two ponies outside?" Quick says to Blaze. He gradually stands up, and mumbles to himself, "A healthy hellhound can be a good and loyal companion. Hellhound mainly eat phosporous, which is then used to set themselves on fire using special glands on their bodies. Hellhounds, coincidentally, are resistant to fire. However, once a year, at least, in order to stay healthy, a hell hound must have some meat. Phosphorous can be added to almost anything so that a hellhound will stay healthy. It is also important to groom a hellhound after flaming, as sometimes flame-pours get clogged, which can result in discomfort. It is important to note that wild hellhounds are extremely dangerous."

Carrick took a nice nap on top of the cabin, though he usually doesn't like to take a nap when time is of the essence. He seemed like it was the best time to finally relax and unwind. Slowly he was able to drift away into sleep, something he couldn't do since he was in Twilight Sparkle's treehouse.
