gaming Silent Hill

Well now I know not to buy it.

 

Unless it's less than 5$, maybe 10$

 

I think you should know that this is the first time in my entire time on gaming forums that I have ever heard anyone say this about the Silent Hill series, especially the first few.

 

SH4 and 5 are debatable usually but most people adore SH1, 2 and 3 and consider them some of the best horror games in gaming history. Whether you think the same or not after playing them is one thing but I have truly and honestly never ever heard anyone say they would not buy Silent Hill.

The first two games are works of bloody art, and should be experienced at all costs, I would say.

 

The new ones... eh... bargain bin.

I need to get SH1 off of PSN so I can actually play it, I've only ever seen that and SH2 on Youtube before I ever had a PS2. Though I might wait until the SH Collection comes out so I can get 2 and 3. I'll have to find 4 somewhere though and Homecoming is easy to see at Gamestop all the time so I'll have no problem finding that. xD

 

Only one I've actually played is SM and I loved that but I can tell just by watching the games I would love them despite my hate for certain survival horror elements it no doubt has.

I tried the Silent Hill for the gameboy advance *pretty much a reading version of the first game* couldn't figure out what to do at the first part...

Yup. SH Collection will be SH2 and 3 in HD. Though many consider it stupid that they didn't include SH4 too. SH1 is on PSN so that's probably why they didn't include it.

Fighting humans in Silent Hill is what I particularly don't like. It's like I'm fighting all these monsters that are walking/running at me and then there is that level they love including that you fight some clunky AI controlled guys http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

Got Shattered memories for PS2 (couldn't find wii version)

 

Really fun so far, hard using the right joystick for not being use to it

One and two were pretty awesome, Haven't had the chance to play any of the other ones.  I think I liked two more than the first one though in my opinion.  When I played 2 I got the 'Water' ending  I preferred Silent Hill over the Resident Evil series though.
