I was expecting a bigger turn out too, did we do something wrong?

 

 

 

I felt like this was gonna be BIG, maybe we should have advertised it or something.

 

I even mentioned this activity in my Pony Pile project at the very tip top of my original post too!

 

 

 

I should've added text or a crowd of ponies in my last piece...I knew my photoshop skills are horrid, and I meant to add more to the last one, but I just couldn't think anymore at that time. I guess I'm going to finish it sometime soon before Cast gets back from being grounded. u.u

 

People always forget or get lazy. It's not really a problem though. Everyone has their reasons so it's good either way :]

You could have done a song this time lol. It depends on what your exchange partner wants. If they don't want a song, then they don't, but if they do then there you go.

Man I was torn between XFizzle + Ariona and TTC + Dizzy.

 

In the end, I voted TTC + Dizzy. You've obviously been doing a lot of practicing with Photoshop, TTC. Very impressive backgrounds.

I'm thinking we could've done something to promote this event more. However, I wasn't expecting the voting part, I get really uncomfortable when it comes to voting on others art work.

 

 

All of these were truly fantastic, and when you're only given one choice to pick...your one vote only benefits whoever you vote for, and hurts the rest. At that point, I'd rather not vote at all. It's really tough for me to vote because I'm so indecisive, and multiple members had alot of good art here that I'm sure they poured/gave their all to make. I know I did.

Ikr! I'm like really jelly of Vexx, Surprise, and Tag Team Casts photoshopping skills. They're so elegantly made, visually stimulating, and so vibrant.

Yours and TTC's were the best, hands down. I normally cringe at other OCs being shipped with Pinkie Pie, but you made it fantastic.

Well I did state in the original sign-up topic that there was going to be a vote on the art in the Finale, but I was hoping it would all be done by the other users on the forums.

Sadly, I don't think I'd participate again

I'm kind of disappointed by the turn-out.

I spent over ten hours on my six art pieces (design and all included) and it's gotten little to no recognition :/

Well yeah I see your point. But honestly this event was about community and giving/receiving a gift from a fellow member, not for showcasing your work and gaining recognition. If I didn't completely spell out the intentions of this event in the sign-up topic then I apologize.

I assumed it would be an art gallery type thing.

(no offence to Mubbins, but I wouldn't want a Tyra Banks pony as a gift )

I saw it more of a way to showcase some of the forum's great art

But that's why I arranged people in pairs, for them to dictate what they want from their partner and vice versa.

I'm sorry Xfizzle, I didn't mean to rant or offend you.

It's just...(I don't know how to explain this) I like to say I can feel what the other artists are feeling....

...and truthfully...If I were any of the artists here who came back and saw my work hadn't garnered any favor... I'd be feeling really un-inspired to perform again...I can actually feel someone even heartbroken by this...

Wait, is there a way to have a multiple vote system instead? Or have say perhaps, have a multiple choice response mandatory for each artwork? like:

First pairing

a. Fantastic!

b. Great!

c. Good.

d. I really like her mane?

e. examples you know?
