Expecting more thunderstorms here, which I'd normally be excited about. Although, the thought of thunder, lightning, rain, and hundred-degree temperature doesn't really make me crave the outdoors at the moment....

I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....

There's a teeny-tiny chance for rain here in Indy. Sadly, it's so hot that going outside makes me want to roll in a snowbank.

Here in the DC area the weather's been pretty tame for the most part. Some minor fires have started because of the heat (which somehow has been hotter than down south), and then after the long period of heat it's constant storms. It's just the ill effect of Global Climate Change, so I guess we'd better get used to stuff like this happening more often.

Try being in South Carolina! We're in the middle of a heat wave with real temps pushing 100 with a heat index of 120! Edited by Ol' Sarge

New Jersey has a heat wave with high humidity and temperatures around 100° farenheit. Not to mention the thunderstorms every night. Tonight's has postponed most activities across the state and also theres a tornado warning. In New Jersey. THERE'S NEVER TORNADOS IN NEW JERSEY!

Or, left turns for that matter. I didn't think New Jersey was getting hit that hard by this heat. Shows how much I know.

I live in idaho, where one moment it is hotter than Hades' sister Aphrodite and the next moment it is snowing. Crazy weather has always been a factor here, ever since I can remember.

It's been slightly wetter in Texas than usual this year. Maybe 5 or 6 inches of rain above the norm, maybe.

Other then that, past the 100's daily, like usual.

Been there, done that. I was stationed in Texas for three years. Texas gives a whole new meaning to hot, one February we had a southern wind that caused it to be 102...in February!

Lived here my entire 19 years, and I'm not a Texas kind of guy. This past winter we had was crap also, it didn't get "cold" (I use that term more loosely than you can fathom) until early February, and the heat was back before March!

Can't wait to leave this place. Anyone know where it's pretty much just cold year 'round besides the obvious extreme northern/southern areas?

I think that the meteorologists are getting really depressed. Mentioning "scattered showers"... scattered is making it seem like we actually have a chance of getting rain. We don't I'm just going to go to the Sahara, ride a camel or two, and come back in winter.

San Francisco. I went there last September. I was going to a class that was located 45 minute inland and it was in the 90s, we went down to San Francisco and it was 65. The coldness of the Pacific Ocean keeps it that way.

Fudge the Sahara, I don't need a passport to get to San Francisco! Maybe they have precipitation.

I went to SF when I was 8, and I do remember it being bone-chiling cold at night. Maybe they were just in a heat wave that year.; (summer of '01 or '02, I can't remember which) but I also remember the suffocating heat in a hotel room without AC. :P Not a bad idea though, I'm not really a fan of what I've seen of California's scenery on my three trips there, TBH, but the climate is supposed to be very nice most of the year.

Maybe we should all take this entire community and all chip in to buy a mansion in San Fran?

No, don't throw that away. Just focus on universities there, like University of San Francisco or UC Berkley.

WHO NEEDS COLLEGE when you can live in a mansion full of Bronies and Pegasisters... it will be beautiful.

Fountains shaped like Celestia, different wings named after the Elements, a statue of Discord... maybe I'm going a bit over the top here?

From a skier's prospective, the snow conditions in michigan this past winter were horrible. Ski shops went bankrupt, snow hills suffered. This is probably the worst ski season I've ever seen. This summer has taken a huge toll on Michigan crops too. Today was one of the first "rainy days" of the season. I hate global warming...

In Indiana, the crops are down by up to 90%, I've been told. I'll pass by corn fields and they're just wilted little stalks of brown.

It's been rainy around here. Last month, there were at least 4 fires in this general area. (Not like I care, because I'm invincible... :P )
