It was the usual morning at Port Regal, with clouds blanketing the sky, fog laying across the ocean, boats clogging the waters, and the streets quiet, with a few Pokemon quietly making there way down stone roads. The morning hours were when the port was at its quietest, a stark contrast to it's nighttime hours, which were filled with sailors enjoying drinks, fights breaking out, boats docking and unloading at shore, and crimes being commited.

A Krokorok walked silently down the lonely streets, making note of the boats that were resting by the docks. Ugh, none of these look like it. The Krokorok though, frowning. The rumors said a small black junk was supposed to have docked this morning, and that it had some valuables in it to swipe. He continued walking down the street. "So where the heck is it?!" The Krokorok mumbled to himself.

The Krokorok adjusted his BlackGlasses, as he continued trekking across the town. There had been rumors going around town that there was gonna be a small ship docking this morning that would be filled with some rare artifacts. Naturally, most dismissed it as a silly rumor, since just about every merchant knew better then to dock at Port Regal with rare valuables. Port Regal was not the nicest place in the world, and it wasn't uncommon for ships to find the contents of their hulls stolen quickly, especially if said contents were rare and valuable.

Faux however, wasn't one to dismiss rumors quickly. Especially when there was a possiblity of getting some Poke some out it. So he made sure to wake up early as to hopefully be able to swipe some things off of the boat and make a quick buck with them on the black market. Unfortunately for him, he still wasn't seeing any signs of the ship yet. "Arceus I swear this ship better be here, or someone's gonna pay." Faux mumbled to himself, as he continued walking down the stone streets, keeping his eyes out for the ship. ... Oh well, I haven't even checked half of the port here, I'm sure it'll be down here somewhere. And hey, it looks like no one else is looking for it either, so it's not like I'll have competition finding this boat! Faux grinned, showing his teeth. He was sure this was gonna be a good day...

Blitz swooped down upon Port Regal, inwardly fuming. Menial protection jobs...how pathetic. He had expected as much - he had only done a few other "jobs" for the Terrae Guild and was relatively unknown. He still had to build up his reputation if he wanted any recognition or promotions, not that he really cared for either. Still, though, it was insulting to be stuck on guard duty, even if he was one of the newer members. The police Pokemon strolling around the port obviously had nothing better to do than get fat on Oran Berries all day, let them do some work for the paycheck they brought home every week.

What was it that the smug Dragonite had told him when Blitz had brought those very concerns to him? We need a Guild member on patrol because there's something valuable in a tiny black boat...something that must be protected before those worthless criminal mafia get their hands on it. But of course, the Dragonite hadn't actually bothered to tell him what the item was supposed to be, with the result that Blitz was now going to have to spend two to three hours flying around in the damp, misty air above the port, looking like an utter idiot and without a sense of purpose.

He swore as an incoming Murkrow snapped him out of his dream state, forcing him into an emergency spiral dive to avoid it. Bloody idiot should have gotten out of the way...but I have to be more careful around here. As a great big Salamence, I'm already going to attract a lot of attention...He took the opportunity to land carefully on the roof of the lighthouse overlooking the ocean, and tried to curl up to look small, his eyes darting around for a few seconds, before landing on the antique, mini-sized sailing vessel parked between two other ships in the far right of the port. They narrowed.

Seth's glittering eyes narrowed at his opponent. He was ready to attack with a swift round of Fury Swipes, because this was a rare occasion in which he wasn't too high to be stumbling all over the place and falling flat on his face. The enemy stepped back, then Seth stepped forward, his lips curling into a terrifying sinister grin, then opening his mouth to reveal his teeth, which were even more so. "Your stuff's as good as mine."

Earlier that morning...

Seth awoke in a hammock in the woods, dazed from the previous night. He wasn't exactly sure where he was, as he had several hammocks hung up in the woods in the event he got lost after getting high. Seth lived a simple life. He lived on the island, mainly in the woods, picking apples and berries for food. But unfortunately, he almost picked the forest's resources clean because of his uncontrollable appetite. His hunger was most likely the cause of all of his smoking. Three years before, he tried his first Mago berry cigarette, and after craving more, he joined the mafia to get his claws on as much as he wanted, seeing as he could easily get a job in the Mago fields.

His victim was frozen in his footsteps, also looking poised to counter. Seth, in his not exactly infinite wisdom, knew his opponent had to chance. He was just a kid. A Buizel, to be exact. The young one had a messenger bag slung around his shoulder, obviously full of goodies and berries. For a split second, their eyes met. Seth read the sheer terror in the Buizel's eyes, then lunged forward, claws unsheathing. FURY SWIPES! The child's duo of tails covered his face, taking most of the damage. Seth momentarily held back, but seconds later hooked his arm around the Buizel's neck.

"Listen kid. You've got all the food and water you need at home, and your bag here, is, well, just a snack. I'm sure you have plenty more at home, don'tcha?"

The Buizel shook his head.

"Me, I got nothin'. Gotta fend for myself. My parents didn't feed me often, ya know." His lie was almost believable. "So why don't you help me out a bit?" His grip became tighter. The young one struggled. "Now we don't want any more trouble, do we? You help me, and I'll uh, quit with the grabbing."

The child's eyes welled with tears. With a free arm, he opened the latch of the bag, dumped the contents onto the dry forest floor, and shook out of Seth's grip. The Buizel darted past the trees and out of sight.

Seth snickered with delight. He popped a berry into his mouth, and jumped into a nearby hammock. Things were about to get interesting. He caught wind of a ship supposedly delivering rare artifacts to the port. Finally, a chance to get rich! Or maybe one of his fellow members to mooch off of. Either way, something big was going to happen.

~This is so boring~ Loki thought to himself as he went up and down the streets looking for a small black boat that was said to have some rather valuable cargo in it. Like most underlings he was tired of doing all the busy work. If the cargo was rare enough then he may be able to move up the "chain" as some called it. ~Figures the ship is nowhere to be found.~ he thought. ~If something that valuable was coming it's probably gone now.~

After looking for about another half an hour Loki gave up. ~I don't have time for this. I'm just going to assume I missed my chance.~ Most of the time he would be right. Port Regal was filled to the brim with crime and he should know. Half the time he's out there doing petty things like stealing from Pokemon. ~I might as well see if there's someone worth pranking.~ Loki thought. He adored pranking, it was his way to unwind and relax.

Soon Loki spotted Faux, another member of the Divisa Mafia. While Loki didn't know Faux personally he had seen him before and knew Faux could not see without his glasses. This made him the perfect target. As such Loki used his Illusion abilities to become invisible and take Faux's glasses.

Djenty sat in thought, immersed in the problems that drifted through his mind. What is this island coming to? How has it gone so far from the Ancient's dream? From his perch at the top of Teal Tower, he viewed the island which lay beneath him. All around him, boats circled, probably delivering cargo, or smuggling goods for pirates.

And then his eyes moved to the disgusting cities, erected by the Terra Lex guild. Those buildings stood in mockery of what the Ancient's would have wanted. Djenty longed to have those wiped of the face of the island, to make way for the great architecture of the Ancients.

But things take time.

Jumping off his perch, he walked through the large halls that the tower consisted of. Surveying his guards, he made sure that everything was as it should be. He sensed that there was going to be trouble today, and he wanted to make sure that all would be well with the Rebuilders.

I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS

Seth stared up into the trees, past them was the ever-so boring gray skyline. This is completely stupid. He woke up not two hours ago! Seth rolled out of the hammock, then wandered through the trees, reaching the edge of the forest. Through the early morning fog, he could make out two figures not far from the port.

Sal woke up from inside his cave, "Oooh... Wonder what I'm gonna do today..." He imagines himself evolving into a Walrein, and suddely remembers his dad's last wish to make the world a better place, giving him the necklace he wears to this day...

The last thing my dad said to me was, "Son... Please, just make the world a better place. Bring peace to this world. Do what I had tried to do... This necklace will grant you the strength that is required to bring out your true potential... Never take it off until you feel ready..."

I am not ready, Sal thought to himself, So until then I shall help everyone as much as I can!

Sal headed off, not sure exactly where he expected to go, and found himself within a deep jungle in a matter of hours.
