Enemies defeated too quickly?

I suppose my main issue was that the way Chrysalis's defeat was scripted, she sounded like a complete idiot.

When your power revolves around someone's love, someone says their love will povide the strength needed to defeat you, and you know for a fact that their love alone made you strong enough to defeat the ruler of a kingdom, you don't make light fun of that power. You step up and make sure they can't use that power against you.

Chrysalis was defeated because she was attacked by what made her powerful.

Discord got cocky.

It's their fault they were defeated.

Change the scenario and make the more serious and it could have lasted longer.

Discords defeat was way too easy when you bring his powers into it, if discord wanted no chance of being beaten, he could have easily made it so, so why did he give the ponies a chance at beating him?

I believe every villain in the show suffered from the severe case of "exist in a girls' show universe" hence they can't last any longer than one or two episodes :V

He just get too cocky. The first attempt on the Elements was real blast, and seeing that his only previous encounter with the Elements was with the two demi-goddesses, while now it was just six crazy fillies which only took a few minutes to brainwash, I say he hardly had any reason to be afraid.

Discord's first and last mistake against Twilight Sparkle and friends is severely underestimating them Posted Image

I've combined your topic, 'Discord's defeat was suspiciously easy.' with 'Enemies defeated too quickly?', since it's more or less the same topic.
