Viridian cheered once more as Lightning easily won the race. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a brown unicorn wandering into some trees, where there was no visible walkway. He had an air around him that made him seem very disoriented. Viridian knew that not following a pathway could mean getting lost in the forest, and tried to stop him from wandering off.

 

"Hey," he shouted, "where are you going? There's no path there! You might get lost!"

 

"He seems lost enough," he internally mused. "Getting lost some more isn't going to help him."

Axe's ears perk up "Hmm?" He looks at the pony in the opening, then shrugs and trots over. "I am not lost, although It may not it, but im not...I think."He says whilst thinking back to the bus were his directions flew out of his hooves past the edge of the pathway. He shook the flashback out of his memory and focused back onto the stallion in front of him. He looked behind you raising an eyebrow "So, what were you looking at?"

Blaze lost the race but he wasnt mad....ok yes he was mad but he was more intrigued by the pegasus he'd lost to she definetly was more than what meets the eye. Still though Blaze didnt want it to show......instead he just told Lightning_Flicker that she was lucky this time and left to go get his dinner afterwards he went to his tent to go to sleep again.

Lightning Flicker laughed and landed on the ground. She thought about her home for a moment then shook the thought from her mind. She was here for self rehab. She planned to clean out her home when she got back. She just needed some self control first.

Viridian looked at him with a slightly annoyed look.

 

"You shouldn't be going into the forest by yourself," he said to the unicorn. "It's dangerous to go alone."

 

He glanced to his right and noticed that Lightning had landed after winning her race against Blaze, and went over to her.

 

"Hey," he shouted from behind her, "that was an awesome race. I'm glad you won against Blaze."

Lightning Flicker smiled. "Thanks. I am too. He took it easy on me for no reason. He thinks he's so much better." She wrinkled her nose. "I mean, seriously. He didn't even try." There was something strange in her eyes.

Octavinyl had some supper and went back to talking with other ponies. She wanted to talk to the other ponies, but she didn't know how to go about doing it. She walked over to some of them and greeted them, "Hi I'm Octavinyl and I'm in tent 3 with Morning Star."

Morning star was back inside his tent reading up on necromancy he felt good about what he done today but still he didn't want to make it a habit out of it , it's alright to show mercy but he can't show it to often.

Axe looks at Lighting Flicker, noticing the odd glare in her eyes. He stays quiet for a moment, processing what it might be. He then looks at her metallic wing, he wanted to talk to her about it after all. It intrigued him dearly. "Anyway, my names Axegrabber, though you two can call me Axe if you want." He says, bowing slightly "I must say, your an interesting pegasus. might I ask your name?"

Viridian looked into her eyes, and saw that she was starting to cry, though she was trying to blink them back. He placed a gentle hoof on her shoulder.

 

"You shouldn't be crying because of someone like Blaze," he told her, softly but adamantly. "He's just a rude jerk who thinks too highly of himself. Don't cry because he thought you would be easy. I saw you when you were flying. You fly just as fast, just as smooth, just as great as anypony else, if ." He briefly considered adding "beautiful", though he very quickly removed that thought. "If there's anything, or anypony, that's bothering you, just tell me. I will try and help you as best as I can."

[Lightning Flicker 101]

Lightning Flicker smiled. "Thanks." Well, better than him figuring out what I WAS thinking about. No pony can know that one fact about me. She turned to Axe. "I'm Lightning Flicker." She noticed his gaze on her wings. Is that all anypony can think about?!

"It's a pleasure to meet you Lighting Flicker." He says in a kind tone. He noticed an somewhat ruffled expression on her face and dares if he should ask the question. He makes his choice, "Sorry to ask, but who did the workings of your wings? I mean, to be able to make an automated set of wings or any automated body parts is a doctors dream come true!" He asks, his words seemingly ecstatic. A moment of silence.

Damn, I knew I should've waited until later to ask, now she probably hates me for doing so. I bet everypony asked her, except those with some decency. I should just keep my mouth shut until I'm back at the hospital.

Octavinyl was being ignored, so of course she went back inside the tent with Morning Star. She got inside and she laid down and got herself comfortable. "Well looks like my first day of making friends with everypony at camp wasn't successful, but at least I got to meet you and Embers."

Lightning Flicker sighed. "Well, I don't remember his name. I usually just call him 'The scientist.' Now that I think about it, I don't think he actually TOLD me his name....... Hmm...." She paused. "Sorry I couldn't be of more help."

He lets out a sigh "Oh well,he'll show up eventually I bet, and then maybe he can..." Axe pauses for a moment looking over the field of grass as a gust of wind makes it glisten in the sunlight. He blinks for a second, shaking his head slightly and then quickly changes the subject "Anyway, what brings you to this campsite, I personally was sent here against my will."

"Oh, I felt like I needed to get away from home. So, I figured I'd come here. I hadn't expected there to be anyone like Blazeblue here though." There was an odd flash in her eyes. Almost... evil. But it disappeared quickly and she smiled.

Axe could have sworn he saw something in Flickers eyes, but he lets it down as nothing to worry about. "Well this Blazeblue doesn't sound like quite the character eh?" He says with a slight grin "Who knows, if he rubs me the wrong way someday maybe we could get back at him somehow." He spends a moment thinking of all the devious tricks he could play on whoever this Blaze pony is. He notices Flicker staring at him awkwardly. "Uh, sorry. Was just remembering the times when I used to play pranks on other ponies, before I became a doctor. The temptations to do it still sadly there though."

 

He looks around, "By the way, did you meet anyone named Quillusion? He/she's supposed to be my tent buddy."

Morning star looked up from his book at Octavinyl. "I am glad that i got to meet you even though by million years plus mystical suntower i am technically the oldest or some were in the same age length". Morning star kept a straight face but he was playing around with her.

Quilluison who had just managed to find the campsite could have heard she heard her name. She walked around untils he saw two ponies talking. "Um excuse me, but did you say something about me?" She asked walking up to Axe.

"Speak of the devil." He says "Yes, I was just asking her if she knew where you were. Me and you are tent buddies after all."

He bows slightly "The names Axegrabber, though you can call me Axe for short."

"Good to meet you Axe, the name is Quillusion, and I was also looking for you." She said. "So yeah I will go find the tent now and talk to you later." She said walking away, looking for her tent. Umm, let's see here, this one. She told herslef walking into one and setting her stuff down. She still had no idea why she had wanted to come here.

Axe watches Quillusion walk away for second and then turns his attention back to Flicker who was standing the patiently "So, where were we?"

Lightning Flicker blinked. "Huh?" She had been lost in thought. "Uh....." She didn't seem to know what he had said. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" She seemed embarrassed to have to ask him about that but she just shrugged it off.

Axe shrugs "I don't remember,but anyway *yawn* I think i'm going to my tent, it's getting dark out." He shakes your hoof "Nice talk we had, hope we can catch up some time again." With that he walks in direction of his tent waving back at you one last time.

Returning from his quick flight around the area, he landed to see Lightning Flicker had won the race. Something seemed off though. Lightning flicker looked pretty angry for some reason and Embers looked like she'd been crying.

 

Maybe Viridian knows more... I missed all of it, of course. As always.

 

Trotting over to Viridian, he asked: "What happened here? Did something bad happen?"
