writing Some AWESOME HollowShield Poem

[Titan Rising 2,156]

Walking through the forest I stumble

Beyond the roots and rocks

Over grass and twigs and Gravel

And I ask myself, where am I going?

There is no path for me to travel.

 

The wind blows and I hear a sweet serenade

Whether or not it's real I can't decide

But I follow it anyway, where else am I going after all?

And as I enter a forest clearing I think to myself

Maybe this is the answer to my call.

 

I lie on the grass now. The twigs and gravel are gone.

But something is missing and before long I decide to continue stumbling through the forest.

What I had lost was the serenade.

And it was then that I realized

From my heart the melody played.

that's was beautiful it makes me remember a poem i had seen and read at my Grandfathers Funeral last year now,

 

The muffled Drum's sad roll. has beat the Soldier's last tattoo;

No more on life's parade, shall meet the brave and fallen few

On Fame's eternal camping-ground their silent tents are spread

And Glory guards, with solemn round The Bivouac of the dead.

 

its crazy how poems can have so much meaning to them with such little words... yours was awesome if i do say so.

Thanks, although I feel like it's missing something, like an extra paragraph. And it could use some rephrasing but I'm a bit tired. I got inspired by a Fullmetal Alchemist melody and I just decided to write something down

 

I think your poem is a bit better written than mine though

i do agree i feel as if yours does need one last paragraph to end it. but i just dont know how it should go.
