Foursome of Ruin: MLP: FiM Primary Villains Biography Posters

PHEW. It took all freakin' day (several hours, thanks to some technical difficulties that resulted in me having to redo one of them), but I have completed my little project I had thought of earlier this afternoon. I have created four matching biography posters for the four main villains of MLP: FiM, Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra. I did the best I could to make them all match in placement of information, and all in all I think they turned out pretty well.

 

I included quotes from specific fan songs (in Chrysalis' case, a canon song) that are about them. Here they are in order, for those wondering:

Dang these are awesome. I must say I was thinking why no one had done one of these. So yeah, very informative, the backgrounds are awesome looking, and the pictures you chose are awesome as well. Great job.

i seriously laughed out loud when i saw Discords power "removing logic". other than that, these look pretty professionally done. good job on them! i like nightmare moons the most. btw which one had to be redone because of that crash you mentioned?

 

EDIT: oh yea, when (season 3 spoiler)

trixie becomes a villian and her fate becomes decided and such, you should make one for her.

Discord's. NMM went without a hitch, and Chrysalis was simple too. Discord's was a pain in the ass for two reasons:

-It crashed like I mentioned

-Unlike the other two, it took me forever to find a background that I liked for him.

The initial vectors were spaced on the 900X500 canvas's in Paint.Net, but then everything else was done in GIMP.

Nicely done, Chaotic. I've always loved this type of cool things you make.

 

I personally like the Discord one. The backround really suits him. The "Removing Logic" one made me cough up my juice. Literally.

Thanks so much, really glad you like them so much <3 Even my mom thought they were sweet, and said I should continue. I'll probably do ones for Celestia and Luna, maybe Shining Armor and Cadence, and then who knows, the Mane 6 after that, perhaps. Thing is, I need to rethink the profile info a bit now that they're not going to be villains, but protagonists instead.

The mane 6 should be easy as you can just throw in some information bout their part in the elements of harmony and their main traits and cutie marks, the others however could be a little work! still would be awesome to see the rest

Thanks guys :3 Really happy to see that all my time and effort for them was worth it. I'll definitely be making a couple more today, possibly, in a new thread. Probably Celestia, Luna, maybe Shining Armor/Cadence. Or the Mane 6. I dunno, I'll see what I feel like.

 

Eventually if I get enough of these I could turn them into a series of like, info biography cards or something.

 

Updated this topic with a poster for King Sombra, everyone :3 I figured I'd take fifteen minutes to do so, since I haven't touched these things in a while and I wanted to make one for him to make the set complete once again. The original post has been edited to reflect the changes.

These are really good, CD. It makes me go back to the days where I would get the Sony Playstation Magazine and they would have character inserts sort of like this. It's really informative to anybody who wants to have a quick overview of the villains too. Keep up the good work!
