The Union is not to be trusted. If they they establish their "Alliance" with the multiverse they will install their own dictator leader as ruler and all in their grasp will become their slaves.

I know this to be true because my own planet fell at their hands. Us few who escaped watched as our planet burned to nothing. That is why I cannot allow myself to succumb to the Combine, or any other affiliated group.

Well, I was assured that treachery would not happen. I will on the other hand heed Jerk Co's fine words of advice. I'll put our alliance at a halt for now. Destroying planets? Well. I may not wish to become an enemy, but I would rather take the universe for my own purposes, without any kind of restrictions put in place.
