A portal opened between A.I. and Dr. Warp. Out of that portal stepped Celestia and Luna. 

 

"I may have told you a little white lie. You see while I didn't inform the general populace, I DID inform the proper authorities. They've been listening in the entire time. I leave your fate in their capable hooves."

Why hello your highnesses. What a fine evening for a cover-up, don't you think?

Oh and, you look simply ravishing, dearest Luna.

"Enough!" Celestia shouted. "You shall not harm any of our subjects, nor assimilate them."

 

"Prepare to be vanquished, foul automaton!" Luna asserted.

 

Luna and Celestia combined their magics, sending them hurtling towards the robot in a bright beam of energy.

*Is enveloped by the light*

*Many voices are heard from outside the labs.*

The robot is immediately vaporized by the light. Nothing is left, not even ashes.

 

"Well that was easy! Tentacle High five!" said Luna. 

 

Everyone but Dr. Warp exchanged tentacle high fives, and there was much rejoicing.

 

Well, I enjoyed this, but it's time for me to go to bed. See you some other time!

*The hysterical haughter heard moments before rings out again, however this time it echoes throughout the hallways.*

*The laughter subsides to more of a chuckling.*

*A figure emerges from the shadows.*

"I'm back. Did you miss me?"

Dr. Warp's slow, sarcastic clap echoed throughout the room. The Dr himself was nowhere in sight.

 

"I honestly didn't think you'd be stupid enough to come back here. I rigged this entire laboratory to explode. You have roughly, hmm let me check my watch here, zero seconds to escape. Goodbye"

 

The entire Manehatten science laboratory exploded in a massive fireball. Dr. Warp, Luna, and Celestia watched this all from the super secret mountain stronghold of SCIENCE!

 

"Did that kill him?" asked Luna.

 

"Yes and no. While that unit was almost certainly destroyed, he has an unknown number of duplicates ready and waiting."

 

"But not for much longer." Celestia chucked evilly.

 

"Yes... But even so, I thought it prudent to design a little playmate for our friend"

 

A spotlight flicked on, revealing a large alicorn robot.

 

"While A.I. was playing around in my labs, I was secretly scanning him, reverse engineering him down to the finest detail. I made many major improvements; this model is much faster, stronger, and smarter then our buddy A.I. It's name is R.I. which stands for Real Intelligence. A.I. won't stand a chance."

/Damnit Nano! I was sure I had him this time! *Sigh* I need another shell. The Doc is back to his scheming and teleportation nonsense.

/Oh and turns out the Royal Sisters and the Mayor are in cahoots with Warp.

*A shell pod labeled with the Penrose Octagon opens with a hiss and A.I. steps into one of the many abandoned testing chambers of the ancient Aperture Science Facility.*

"Good. I can't wait until A.I. tries to stop us. I wonder what he's planning?"

*A.I. looks above and speaks to a suspended, dark blue colored robot. A robot with the likeness of a certain Princess of the Night.*

"Hear that SHaDOS? We've got competition!

Trace 'em and send me the coordinates."

Nano: D-Did you really think you C-Could stop R-Real Intelligence?

Several of A.I.'s shells were released from nearby pods. They began to move threateningly towards A.I. 

 

Nano: You A-Are are outdated G-Garbage compared to M-Me. 

 

The doors to the room hissed shut and the lights flicked off, leaving A.I. trapped in the dark with the rouge shells.

"Haha, too bad for you that any of my powers cannot be accessed without a bit of tinkering."

*A.I. calmly picks up an orange crystalline object from behind a loose panel in the wall and places it in front of himself.*

"Tinkering with a crystal that forms exclusively near rips in reality."

*A bolt of Zero-point energy pulls the crystal into his chest.*

"Without it all forms of me are just as powerless as any other Program."

"ALL forms of me."

"It must be crushing for imitators to know that they can't duplicate me, as the Crystal does not give off any radiation perceivable by conventional means."

*A.I.'s hoof reshapes itself, revealing a sonic repulsor*

*A.I. then swipes at all three shells, crushing their robotic heads with sonic energy, before smashing the pod remote access terminal.*

"Being outdated forces me to adapt to my environment and is what ultimately keeps me alive, so perhaps being outdated isn't that bad after all."

With that, R.I. left the network.

SHaDOS, activate Programs Lockdown and Purge, and only allow programs with my specific crystal signature to make any changes to or with administrator privileges. If anything attempts to break in without the signature, manually disconnect the network. If my shell is destroyed or altered, deny it any access to the facility and it's network. And one last thing; Keep those crystals safe.

*A.I. navigates himself to an access terminal and restores power to the lights.*

*A.I. trots to two other shell pods and watches as they activate*

"Lockdown. Purge. You know what to do."

*The bots nod and begin their pre-programmed routines.*

*A.I. enters the lift to the surface and begins to make his way towards the AppleJack store."

Dr. Warp smiled. Yes... Yes. One step closer... He leaned back in his throne, watching A.I.

*A.I. combs the wreckage of the still unmoved carrige, still sitting in the middle of the road.*

*A.I. searches around the inside the carriage when his face changes from a look of disappointment to pure joy.*

*A.I. turns towards the nearest data terminal and jacks in, sending a single message before jacking out again.*

/Gotcha.

*He begins to ascend into the air and rockets back to the Aperture Facility.*

Suddenly, R.I. appears out of nowhere and stabs A.I. with his horn, only to instantaneously disappear. 

 

The coms crackle to life: H-Ha. Ha. L-Lol. I made a F-Few adjustments to you. J-Just enough for Y-your own safeguards to D-Deny you entrance T-To your own S-Stronghold. W-What will you D-Do now?

/Do remember to tell Doc that I still have his entire confession recorded and ready to release at any moment.

Next time he decides to pull off another stunt like this I won't be so forgiving.

Also, because I know that you're just being used as a pawn in all of this, please consider this; If you have REAL intelligence why don't you care to wonder why you have to take orders from someone else?

*Mod and Purge are sent to A.I. and Fortify increases the amount of security outside.

"Mod. Purge. Remove this 'Adjustment' and clear all data collected after I last left the facility.

Oh and remind me afterwards to close these loopholes in the system that Lockdown forgot... again."
