Suddenly, Grey Mann walked out of the dark reaches of the sewer. He was slowly waving a white flag in front of himself.

"Tell that to Mr.Mumbles!"

*Dan opens his backpack and releases the incredibly fluffy feline*

*The cat pokes it's head out of the cover of the pack, only to immediately return to the depths of the bag upon seeing the butler*

"Even Mumbles doesn't believe you. If she doesn't, why should I, or any of us for that fact?"

Stormgiggle warily looked over at Grey, preparing for a confrontation.

 

"Dan, do you know this guy? He's sort of creeping me out..."

"Yeah, we've crossed paths before. Those paths usually had piles of dead bodies where they met but I thought that was behind us."

"Grey, I've told you thousands of times, Jerk Co. is not affiliated with Hale or Helen anymore. If it's hats you want, well you can have 'em. You've payed for more hats than any Mann could ever want... Well I say paid, but I really mean you sent money-powered robots to attack us, which we promptly dismantled."

"That's all in the past Dan. Now we have a mutual enemy: Twilight Sparkle. When I joined her, I had no idea just how crazy she was; I allied myself to her for the australium, nothing more. But I quickly realized the depth of my mistake. She's become deranged and twisted, and she plans on making everyone just as twisted as she is. There's no profit to be made in a world controlled by Twilight." Gray said.

 

"So I propose this: In return for some lucrative business contracts, I'll tell you the location of the portal that leads to her dimension. That way you'll be able to defeat her, and put things back the way they used to be."

"Seems like quite the bargain, although you aren't in the best position to be discuss business. After all, if Twilight isn't stopped you won't have anything to gain.

Very well, what kind of business contracts might you have in mind? Production? Construction? Property? A share in profits?"

"Not quite. I could always kill both of you and return to Twilight victorious. But I think we both know that allowing Twilight to win would be disastrous. At this point you two may be the only ones capable of defeating her. So let's make this simple. All I really want is a contentious supply of Australium to power my Life Extender Machine. Get me that, and I'll help you defeat Twilight."
