Really? I was actually under the impression that Twilight was the one who did it. From a tactical standpoint it makes total sense. You were getting too close to the portal, and Twilight couldn't let Grey Mann and his army go rouge. She knew that getting me to destroy myself would cause me to revive as a mindless being and destroy all life on the entire planet, keeping the portal out of your hands and destroying the rouge robot army.

 

Also, it's still your fault, because your security system failed.

I mean, Dan likes computers, lasers and other cool stuff, but he doesn't care about such boring stuff like security.

The most secure thing he's ever had in his life was the door to his old apartment. The door he never locked.
