Cherry Blossom was startled when Sapphire came in, but she was able to reply back, "Oh umm...I guess it was okay, but it wasn't really much of a date anyway. Waite a minute, how did you know about that?" she asked as she started to boil some water and put out coffee ingredients onto the kitchen counter.

"Oh, Den and I are still linked, we just don't share a body anymore. It gets weaker the further away we are, but this close I can even pick up exact thoughts. Or I could, if he hadn't passed out. I sold so many brownies today, he can't even register the amount of bits! That, combined with our police checks and Neil's hospital check is everything in that bag. Now we can pay rent for sure," she grinned, "And the water won't taste like rust!"

Magneus opened his eye, (right to be specific) and peeked out into the main room, his roommate fell asleep while watching tv. Magneus sighed and turned it off, "I guess i'll go for a stroll... nothing like freaking out the public!" he said and transformed into a wolf, travelling through the walls until he ended up on the sidewalk just outside his apartment building, he casually walked down the sidewalk and smiled wide at anypony who passed by, they were mostly freaked out by the fact he was blue and made out of air.

"Oh you guys don't have to pay rent. Besides, I wouldn't have a need to spend all that money anyway." Cherry Blossom replied as she finished making the coffee and put it on the counter. She put out some sugar and cream before offering Sapphire some breakfast, "Would you like something to eat?"

She thought about it, then nodded, "I think I'd like some pancakes, if you're okay with that. I could help, if you'd like." She smiled, and then made sure Den was really out, before saying, "So, do you like Den? Is he a good partner? Or do you looove Den? Because if you looove Den, you can just have him to yourself, and I can take Neil, and we can go live in a new apartment, one that doesn't have rags and does have running water!"

"You can help if you want." Cherry Blossom smiled at Sapphire then took out the pancake batter, then heated up the frying pan. She stayed silent from Sapphire's last question and just blushed while trying to hide it. "Would you like anything else Den? I could make you a little something to go with that coffee." Den woke up and heard his name, "No... I think that's good," he says, "Thank you for the coffee." He sits at the table and stares at the bog of money. He blinks a few times, as if thinking it was a dream. Sapphire walked up next to Cherry Blossom and began to help her out. "I think Den's gonna put most of it in a CD."

The green unicorn turned toward the sound of screaming. He was surprised at the sight of the spectral wolf, but hardly frightened. "Now that, that is interesting." he said, "Perhaps the living world is not as dull as I thought." He stood in the wolf's path to see what would happen.

Cherry Blossom giggled a little then went back to back to making the pancakes. Then she flew over to a pantry cabnet and pulled out some syrup for the pancakes. She set up a table then put a plate with a fork an knife beside the plate. "You may go ahead and eat Sapphire, I'll finish up here,"

Magneus halted before the pony who was in his way, "You're not screaming in terror, you're supposed to be screaming in terror!" he barked at the pony, but something about him was different, like he had absorbed some sort of power straight from him, "Oh let me guess, you just want to get a look at the amazing glowing wolf eh? The faint trail of demon magicks did not escape Wits. He exited the asylum, following the ever growing, ethereal trail of power the slowly made its way deeper and deeper into the bowels of the city. He passed grimdark alleys, bright and gaudy show areas, suspicious stores, and brim-filled residential zones. It lead him to a place, where stood a green unicorn and a spectral wolf, both of which were interesting, in their own way.

 

"Say..." he said. "You seem familiar."

"Aren't I special? A talking wolf and an unusually spiritually aware unicorn both want to talk to me." the unicorn said with a chuckle, "But I'm afraid that I am quite boring. Sorry to disappoint you both." he had a sadist look in his eyes, the only thing he craved from this was blood.

I don't know about these spiritual horsefeathers. This here's magic, plain and simple. And I am Detective Specialist Wits End of the Manehattan Police Force and the Celestial Greater Task Force. In the name of the sun and the moon, I am commanding you to surrender and come quietly, or face the wrath of Celestia and Luna." He glanced at the wolf. "And who are you?"

She nodded, "Understandable. He's a good colt, but the orchestra is to weak-willed for me to play with them. Imagine if we had to play a march; the damages would be enormously costly. And the fans all somehow know exactly where to find me..." She sighed and looked at him, "But the orchestra isn't why your here, is it Captain"

 

He had to be honest with her.

"No, it isn't..."

He closed his eyes, then looked down.

"No, it isn't the reason I came... But, really quickly, do you need to emphasis the word Captain? It's simply a rank... I'd like it a bit more if you called me by Nightfall... by my name... you know..."

He blushed.

If you resist. I am authorized to utilize whatever skills I need to in order to make you comply," Wits tone was business like and quick, but stern above all else. He wasn't going to let this go.

Cherry Blossom ear's perked as she heard some commotion outside, but she quickly set the pankcakes on the table for Sapphire. "Something seems to be going on outside, I'll be right back." She said to them as she opened the door and went outside. There seemed to have been a strange talk between a unicorn, a wolf, and Wits End.

The unicorn tilted his head and uttered one word. "Rugby."

 

As if by command, an oval shaped ball shot from the top balcony of a nearby hotel with bone crushing speed and force. It wasnt an ordinary ball, it was locked onto Wits energy signature and would not stop until its target was hit.

Wits leaped backwards and avoided the attack, then locked onto it with his magic. No time to analyze, just time to dissipate, which he did, cutting the spell of from its source and effectively killing the spell.

 

He dragged himself off the ground and started to walk toward the pony. "You came to the wrong neighborhood, motherbucker..."

Cherry Blossom saw the combat start between the two ponies, but all she could do was sit there and watched. "I can't help Wits while I'm unarmed, I'll just get myself killed that way." she thought as she started making her way towards the police station. Every police station would have an armory she thought. Though the station was still rigged with explosives and there must be a way to stop them.

Sapphire says, "Oh, okay," and sits, eating happily. Den finishes has coffee and follows Cherry Blossom outside, blushing as Sapphire winks at him. "That... Isn't supposed to be normal, but okay."

 

Delphina nodded, but said "I'm not letting you in until you say the words, Nightfall." She stared at him, semi-hopeful from behind the door.

"It seems I underestimated you. That was a very impressive spell, the way you disconnected that ball from Rugby's demon energy. I think I'll try it." The unicorn said. "Rugby, throw another!"

 

On command, a second ball few from the hotel. Before it was close enough to cause harm, The unicorn preformed the exact same spell that Wits had, and the ball dissapeared.

"Den, we have to find a way to disarm the explosives. Otherwise the police that we are in will be powerless. Plus I need to get an official uniform and fill out a few papers before I can officially be a policemare." Cherry Blossom explained to Den as she kept flying to the police station. Eventually she got to the building and she moved to the front entrance of the police station.
