Wits snorted and shouted. "YOU MOTHERBUCKER!" He stopped moving and his eyes started to glow a deep purple as he began to scan the timelines, looking for probabilities and abilities, tyring to see the demon's next move and where it would come from. Some frayed, some drifted ,but most seemed to revolve around a few possibilties.

 

"Not very clever or imaginative, are you?" He said. "Go ahead and freeze my legs, that can't stop me."

He smiled,"I would know you were lying. Cherry Blossom doesn't like guns and hurting people. But if she was, and tell her to pull the trigger." He said it with honesty in his voice. He stopped smiling, "I've got to wonder Sour Blossom, why do you want to be mean?"

"Because..." She paused for a moment, but she immediately tried to shoot Den in the foreleg. "Because it's the only way Cherry Blossom could get through with life!" Cherry Blossom, or Sour Blossom yelled it into his face. "All those pegasai at Cloudsdale, were laughing at me... I wanted to kill myself so badly..."

The bullet sunk in, tapping the bone, but not cracking it. He cringed, but he'd survived worse. He used his teeth to pull the bullet out and filled it with antiseptic, wrapping it with a linen band aid that was part of his first-aid kit. "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm not going to tease you mercilessly until you cry so I can laugh at you. If I ever do that, place a gun to my temple, and pull the trigger. I'm here to have your back, to protect you. I'm you're friend, that's not going to change." Unless you want to be my marefriend... No, she'd never want that.

The unicorn laughed, "ha ha! You're frustrated! You think too much when you fight. But what is there to think about when I'm so unpredictable? I have no pattern, and I never use the same attack twice in one fight! Where's the fun in that? What should I do now? Fire balls? Lightning? An acid storm? Anything is possible!"

Cherry Blossom dropped the gun and became silent, but she spoke again after a few minutes passed. "I'm just talking to myself out of dark loneliness... I'm sorry that I shot you Den." the mare said to him as she just collapsed onto the ground. She'd never felt this guilty in her whole life before. "I only developed another personality to avoid loneliness and destroy my weak personality..."

Rugby stopped watching the fight from the Hotel balcony. "No point." He said, "Rando always wins." his massive frame could barely fit back through the door to the hotel room.

 

"I sincerely hope you don't plan on going outside in the day time. We look nothing like them." Seiryu said. He was leaning against the main hotel room door.

 

Rugby was even taller than Seiryu. He pushed him out of the way and swung the door open. "Shove it where it hurts, Seiryu. If any little ponies get in my way, I'll tell them that too."

Wits wasn't getting anything from basic searches... but...

 

He could track demon trails. he could compare timelines. What if he were to combine the two?

 

Sure enough, a few of the trails tailed off, but most lead to a single point...

 

He was going to need help. He called up Nightfall.

 

"Hey, Captain, I'm going to need some help here." He started to head towards the room where the demon was staying.

"He's coming closer," Seiryu said, "Best if we leave now. The master ordered us not to touch him."

 

"If we are going to kill them eventually, why not finish it now?" Rugby asked, showing his worn down teeth.

 

"Because I won't allow it."

 

"You really have no sense of the sport, do you? These ponies have somehow stolen our demon powers! They deserve to die!" He materialized a football into his massive right hand and prepared for Wits to come.

 

"Rugby, I'm warning you!"

 

"Shut the Hell up!"

Wits started to climb the stairs, but it was a rather long climb, and didn't want to take the elevator. Plus, it would give back-up enough time to get there. He didn't know if he could take the demons... but there was no choice. Place, he always had his ace in the hole if things got gnarly.

Rugby walked down the hallway to the top of the stairwell. He was a giant, and each step he made created a loud boom. The residents of the nearby rooms had locked their doors. Seiryu had given enough warnings. He prepared himself for the consequence that Rugby's actions would bring.

Magneus face pawed and sighed, "I never remember to set targets on physical, i passed right through him, stupid stupid STUPID!" he said and constantly smacked his forehead, "No matter, i shall... uh... DO OTHER THINGS... uh... such as, um... something, YES! SOMETHING! AHA!" he said and bolted off, unknowing of what to do.

Delphina finished and put her cello away. Nightfall was half asleep, so she helped him into the bed. Pulling the covers around him, she slid herself under his arms and sighed, comfortable. Feeling safe, she drifted off into the realm of sleep, seeing a very bright future.

 

Nightfall awoke. He was warm, and in a comfy bed. And then he remembered Delphina was in his arms. He tried sliding out of the bed without waking her. He went around the house, slowly and trying not to disturb anything or make too much noise, looking for a shower. It had been days since he had had his last shower, and he felt dirty.

When Nightfall left the bed, Delphina woke up. She could tell he hadn't wanted to, so she pretended to sleep until he left the room. Then she got out of bed and made it. She got dressed her her super hero outfit, yawning, and stepped into the rest of her house. "Whatcha looking for?" She asked him.

"Oh! Um... the shower..."

He blushed a bit.

"You see, I haven't showered in a few days... and when I don't shower for a long time, I get a feeling like I am dirty, even though I may looking very clean."

He stopped his searching at looked right at her.

"You wouldn't mind my using your shower, would you..?"

The unicorn stepped back out of the wall and into the alley. The detedtive was gone and the wolf was leaving. He had hoped that the fight would have lasted longer, because he wanted to try out a few more of his favorite techniques. The wolf had to know more than one trick. So he decided to follow it.

Magneus halted right outside the alley and changed back into his pony form, it was tiring, but he didn't feel like being screamed at anymore, it joggled his brain to hear the screams... right in his sensitive wolf ears. He shook his head and turned around to look back at the alley, only to find out that the unicorn was following him, "Oh, i suppose you want something? Maybe more of my powers eh? If thats true, i think we can strike a deal"

She grinned, "Nightfall, the shower's in the bathroom. The bathroom is connected to my bedroom. You must've passed it a bajilion times today," she said, stifling a gigle. She went into the kitchen and started making some coffee, while looking for doughnut. She wasn't much of a cook.

"How fun," the unicorn said, "he wants to bargin! What do you have to offer me now? I just stole your little wolf trick, I am a fast learner, you see. Do you know anything else? And what will you get in return? I wonder. What could a normal unicorn offer a pony like you?"

"I let you take my powers, while i get to follow you around and help whatever that you are doing, cause I. AM. BORED" he yelled the last 3 words to the whole block, making sure everypony knew he was bored. It wasn't the most amazing deal, it may not seem like Magneus got anything out of it, but he did.

Nightfall peeped into the kitchen a couple of minutes later.

"Oh, yeah, hey, Delphina? I'm going to need to get down to the station for a bit to pick up my saddlebag, my holster and guns, and some extra clothes. Please, do be safe."

He ran out of the door down towards the police station, which he reached quickly.

"And would it bother you if I turn out to be a heartless sadist who intends to use your powers to kill as many ponies as possible just to test their limits?" He asked. He was interestes in his offer. This new unicorn would be more useful than Rugby and Seiryu. Though that is not saying much.

"I don't care what you use my powers for, you could create a fake party thats just a trap and i wouldn't give one potato about it" he shrugged and held out his hoof, "Whaddya say? I also have alot of money that we can use" he smiled and laughed, "Just think of what we could do together"

"Money is worthless." He said, "my only intention is to get stronger. If I wanted to destroy this entire country, I would. As for now, all I want is to find more ponies with useful abilities. And I will allow you to come with me, but do one thing to annoy me and I will slice you in half with a rose! Or do I need to display that I have that capability?"
