The demon was to focused on Cherry. Den had to fix that, so he sprung from his position and tackled the unicorn, breifly noticing the ethreal wolf. He got a good punch in too.

 

Sapphire teleported next to Speedy, sighing. "I don't like guns," she said, her horn glowing. The machine gun's firing pin came out, rendering it useless.

"Damn!" She thought. She spun around to find Nightfall. She threw her knife as she did.

"Well, you're no fun. What about your captain, this Nightfall?"

 

 

Nightfall charged in... straight into the knife. He tripped up, and got up, looking down and the knife sticking out of his chest.

"Every time..."

Speedy used this distraction to rush for the door. She ran out, trying to get past Wits.

Magneus blew everywhere, but soon regained ethereal form a few feet away. "I can be moved, but unless i'm contained then i'm not defeated. You see, in order to move through the walls, there has to be a place for the air to escape, i there isn't then i can't go through the wall. Same for getting out, unless there is air to replace what i left, i can't leave"

Sapphire and Maven gasped at the same time, and Sapphire practically screamed, "NIGHTFALL!!!" She went into panic mode, running up to him, and pulling the knife out. She touched her horn to the wound, healing it. Maven got angry really fast. She put the flute to her lips and began playing a song about torture, directing it towards the blue, knife-throwing pegasus.

Rando swung at Magneus a second time, then spun around and backhanded Den with the Tornado Fist. It was no more powerful than a normal fist, but the gale force winds it produced should be enough to send Den flying into the air at deadly speeds.

Speedy felt some pain, but she decided to try to ignore it. She turned, smiled waving a hoof at them.

"Keep the knife. There are plenty more to steal."

She jumped up and flew off quickly.

 

Nightfall gasped for breath, as if the wound was still there. He was on his knees.

"Den!" Cherry Blossom yelled as she immediately found and toof off the safety and pointed it back at Rando. "How dare you hurt my friends!" she exclaimed as she pulled the trigger of the gun, sending a bullet flying towards Rando. Den snapped out his wings, angling them upwards. When the wind hit him, he shot upwards. Folding his wings in, he dived, crashing into the demon. On the way down, he was thinking only of Cherry Blossom; hoping for her safety, hoping for her happiness, and remembering the time they had shared. He was sure that the force of impact would kill him; the idea was that it'd kill Rando as well.

 

Sapphire quickly and angrily threw the knife at the retreating pegasus. Amazingly, it looked like a dart straight at the pony. She didn't look at the retreating form after that, instead digging through her bag. She took out a small baggie of peanut butter brownies and set them in front of Nightfall. "Are you okay Nighty?"

 

(Oh, she loves Nightfall, but it's more sisterly now)

Rando tilted the airstream of his Tornado fist upward, sending the bullet toward Den instead. Attacks that move through the air are useless against me. With the tornado fist, you might as well hand the bullet over and say 'Do what ever you want with it Rando!'"

Wits was blown past, but another figured leaped in Speedy's way and aimed a kick at her, going to knock her over.

 

"You're going a bit to fast, young lady," the Hoof of Justice said. "It'd be shame if you hurt anyone by being so reckless."

 

And that sounded terrible. He said.This isn't as easy as I remember.

He gasped.

"I'm fine... I'm fine.. I feel like.. ow... I feel like the wound is still there, inside me... No, it's not, I'm fine... ow..."

He took up the bag, and ate a couple of brownies. He felt better, but something was nagging at him.

"Now you know why Jack calls you a dimwit. You got hurt rushing without a plan... again."

"I KNOW. Shut up."

He looked up at Sapphire. He smiled. It seemed maybe she did still like him...

 

Speedy slammed into the ground.

"Ow. What are you doing, meddling in others' business, old man?"

She got up, rubbing her head.

Den felt the bullet hit a wing, felt himself slow down a little, and then crashed into the demon. He felt an extreme sensation of pain and realized he hadn't died. He also felt that Sapphire felt his pain through his link. He got to his feet shakily.

 

Sapphire gasped, "Den... Nightfall, Den is in... A lot... Of pain!"

[Nightfall 3,950]

Nightfall got up.

"Ow.. no, I'm fine... all right... Should we go, or should just you go? .. That was stupid. Maven, grab your cello. We gotta go now."

Nightfall got up slowly, and checked himself. He only had a knife hole in his uniform, but that's all that remained form this incident.

Maven stood next to Sapphire, looking concerned. "Nightfall, if you're okay... I have a bad feeling that Den and Cherry pursued the demon. It's not really in Den's character, but I'm 90% sure he'd follow his partner into Tartorus; it wouldn't take her much to convince him to go." Sapphire nods, "He has feelings for her..."

"'Other peoples business does not usually include automatic rifles and a police station," he said. "And when I was a kid, they taught me to respect their elders." His voice was laced with irony. He put a hoof on her chest and pinned her.

 

"Now, we are going to go together, kiddo, and apologize to the nice police who I'm presuming you harmed in some way."

"Den no!!!" she yelled as she started running towards Den and Rando. "I-I... No..." Cherry Blossom thought to herself as she closed her eyes in sadness. "NO!" her eyes opened again revealing a pair of bloody eyes as she hovered towards them. "I'm going to kill you!" Cherry Blossom screamed, her voice was tuned to a ghostly form. She tore off a branch from a tree and it immediately sharpened itself to a blade, then the bladed part became surrounded by some sort of red aura or plasma. Cherry Blossom went back to hovering towards them in an intimidating fashion while holding the red aura surrounded wooden blade. Edited September 26, 2012 by Cherry Blossom

Sapphire's horn glowed right when Maven was turning to leave. Her cello was standing on the pavement, in it's case. "I remembered what it looked like from Den's memories, so I was able to teleport it!" She grinned, winking at Nightfall. "Shall we leave?" Maven grabbed her cello.

Ignoring Cherry, Rando shrugged Den off of his body. He had experianced little to no pain from th collision. "I love it when theyre in pain." he grabbed Den by the neck."But it isn't over yet! I want to break a few bones first!" he grabbed Den's uninjured wing and started to bend it in an unnatural direction.

"Old legends die hard," Mighty Force said. "I'm the Hoof of Justice. Might not mean much to you, but I'm an old hand around these parts, so a little bit of respect will be given," he pushed down a little harder "or earned."

 

He grabbed the guns and weapons from here, then scooped her over his back and started off towards the police station. "Don't bother struggling. I've dealt with petty thieves before, and I know what I'm doing."

Den didn't really react; he was experiencing his capacity for pain. His chest was bloody, and the white of bone could be seen. He laughed a bit, but it hurt. It made him cough, which hurt much more, plus he coughed up blood all over Rando. "I... Can't f-f-feel you," he said, "All I... C-can feel is an inability to move my wing." He proceded to take his pistol and shoot it point blank.

 

Sapphire and Maven were following Nightfall, Maven carrying Sapphire who was having pain spasms. Sapphire was wondering how Den hadn't passed out yet.

"No... I WILL DESTROY YOU!" And with that, Cherry Blossom started charging towards Rando with all of her wingpower. "I dare to say it... Today, I shall surpass the Devil himself!" She stated as she tried to jam the red aura surrounded, wooden blade right into Rando's heart. Edited September 26, 2012 by Cherry Blossom

The blood from Rando's bullet wound gushed out and surrounded Cherry's wooden sword. "You may only have a few blood mages in this world, but the demon world is full of them." He seemed to not mind the bullet wound. Plucking a few feathers from Dens broken wing, he continued, "However, I think I'll have more fun with your friend." He threw Den aside and faced Sour blossom.

Cherry Blossom let go of the sword and tried to tackle Rando. "What use is blood when you spill it!?" she asked as she formed her wings into what seems like featherblades. "You are what makes Manehattan twisted! And for that, I will eliminate you!" she screamed as she then tried to stab him with her wings.

Den shakily drew himself to his feet. He felt off balance without the feathers, but he managed to stand. "D-d-didn't know... Sour Blossom... L-l-liked me that... Much. I-I-I-I'm flattered," he thought out loud. He smiled genuinely, than remembered they were in danger. "G-g-go get Sappppphire and N-n-nightfall. Y-y-you can g-get me l-l-latter."
