private SoL: Ponyville

Vinyl cleaned the house and did the chores of the household. She swept, dusted, cleaned the dishes, etc. After she was done, she teleported over to Canterlot to talk to Princess Celestia.

 

She was told to guard a certain pony in Ponyville without drawing attention to herself or the other pony. It was simple enough, she just had to follow the pony around without them or anyone else knowing and guard them if the time came. She had done similar missions in the past and most of them went off without a hitch. This mission should be a breeze. She was a professionally trained Royal CIA/Secret Service agent for Celestia's sake!

 

Once she was done in Canterlot, she headed back over to Ponyville. When she got back she immediately hopped into the hot tub and relaxed. She had time since the mission didn't start for another day or so.

Violet greeted the pony with a curtsy and extending a hoof.

 

"Hiya! I'm Violet!" The young filly announced.

She then inhaled a long deep breath, when suddenly...

A hail storm of questions blurred from her tiny mouth, as she zipped from spot to spot around the mare.

 

"Are you a friend of Rarity!?"

"What were you upset about!?"

"Did you see any specials inside!?

"Those a really cool rings you have on your left hoof!"

"Do they come in purple!?"

"Who is the other pony in there with you!?"

"Is she friendly!?"

...

She began to slow down...

...

"How's Rarity doing!?"

"I really like your mane!"

"Where's Opalescence?"

"Can I have a discount?"

"Are you a natural dark mane?"

"What does your cutie mark mean?"

"Wait..."

...She paused...

...

"Five hundred bits for this hat!?" She suddenly stopped at the display....

"Hold on..." She quickly turned about and trotted back to the mare.

 

"What's your name?..." She cocked an eyebrow, studying the mysterious mare.

After a conversation with a delightfully strange pony who sat on the bench in such a weird way, Mighty moved on to the next part of his schedule: community service. Every day he dedicated a bit of his time and effort to helping out those who needed it. It wasn't as big or as drastic as the old days, but in some ways it was even better, helping improve life bit by bit instead of dealing with big nasty shocks all the time. He was responsible for many smiles and the improvement of many days for ponies who otherwise would have nothing to do. And slowly, he had started to gain their trust. After ten years, people had come to him for advice and help when they couldn't do so for anyone else. In a unique way, he was a confident and a hero to these simple ponies, and it felt good.

Nightfall stepped up and put a hoof on Violet's shoulder.

"Hey, there, Violet. I know you're curious, but it's also the first day of school. You should never be late for the first day of school, as it can mar your record."

He turned to the mare.

"I'm sorry about that. And I'm sure we may see you again sometime."

Nightfall began to walk off to the school again.

"Come on, Violet."

Esme was still processing all these questions, and was just about to answer when they walked away. "Um, yes?" She called after the filly. The blue pegasus shook her head and walked in the opposite direction, back to her home in Chigacolt. "Nice meeting you, Violet..."

"...But dad, we didn't get her name!" She replied, "...we should've atleast asked her name..." Violet protested as she struggled to keep up.

 

Violet turned her head to the sadden mare as she turned away, and began walking barely hearing her farewell.

"It was a real pleasure meeting you too!" Violet shouted, then added, "What's your name!?" as she quickly turned around to face the leaving the mare. However was unsure if the mare heard her or not...

Motion took a cup of coffee, of course, it was a cheap one.

 

he knew that if he stayed he wouldn't make great income, so that option was out question.

The train ticket was really expensive for him, and go trotting to Ponyville would take weeks, or at Motion's pace, roughly a month.

 

He approached the the train tickets cabin again.

 

Motion: "Excuse me ma'am, I know the train ticket is 25 bits, but, I was wondering, if I could get a small discount".

 

Pony Lady: "and why would I give you a discount?".

 

Motion thought quickly.

 

Motion: "Ummm...because you want to buy one of my drawings for 10 bits".

 

Pony Lady: "What? I never said that, and if you want to buy that ticket, better hurry, the train is leaving in 10 minutes!"

 

Motion used his horn magic to open his saddlebag, he took off 2 sheets of papers, a small black ink bottle and a quill.

He quickly used his art skills within his magic to do a quick portrait sketch of the ticket vendor.

 

Motion: "I'm done. Do you like it?"

 

Pony Lady: "It's beautiful!! I love it! how much is it?"

 

Motion: "just 10 bits" he said smiling

 

she hands him 10 bits. And he took it with his magic.

 

Pony Lady: "I look beautiful isn't it?"

 

Motion: "Indeed, I would like a ticket to Ponyville please..."

 

Pony Lady: "25 bits"

 

Motion: "Here you go" he hands 25 bits with horn magic.

 

Pony Lady: "Thanks, here's your ticket, have a nice day!"

 

Motion: "You too! bye!"

 

And Motion happily walks to the train entrance line.

Wildcard woke up late. The sun was already shining bright outside as he finally got up. The pegasus spent last night at a local bar and his head was still aching. Wildcard stumbled down the stairs of his house. "Hmpf..no breakfast for me" he mumbled as he looked at his watch. Then he headed to the bathroom, turned up the radio and took a shower. The station played a well known rock song which cheered Wildcard up and he started to sing along. He felt a lot better afterwards and decided to leave his house for a walk.

As Esme walked out the door, Lavender politely bid Rarity farewell, and walked out the door and headed back in the direction of Sugarcube Corner, to place an order of cupcakes....

 

When she got to Sugarcube Corner, she walked quickly up to the counter, and since none of the cakes were there at the moment, Lavender found a pen and quill, and wrote out a quick note.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Cake,

I, Lavender, would like to place an order of twelve cupcakes, half vanilla, half chocolate, with light pink frosting, to be picked up sometime this weekend.

Esme didn't hear the filly, and kept walking. Her hooves soon got tired and she flew in the direction of Chigacolt. The blue pegasus finnally reached her hometown, and went into her apartment building. She stepped into the lobby, and realized she forgot her keys. "Shoot." Esme rang the bell for her apartment. "Hey, Eldy, it's me." she said into the mic. Erdrich let her in, and the blue pegasus flew up three flights of stairs. "Hey, Eldy." she repeated. Esme flopped down on the couch and turned on the new episode of My Little Human. She grabbed her laptop from behind the sofa and turned it on. She found her friend Lavender on MLH Forums, and started a message conversation with her. "Hey, Lavender. What's up?"

Positive that the mare didn't hear her, Violet shrugged and continued after Nightfall as they made their way to her new school.

On their trip inward towards the central plaza, Violet began to notice just how alive the town can quickly become. Distinguised however, to her left she noticed a white pegasus, whom she would later find out is Wildcard, exit his house, and strolling along his way with no clear destination. Far ahead of her she could easily spot Sugarcube Corner, watching as a pony, unknowingly known as Lavender around town, left the front doors and evidently returning someplace. She then decided to break the silence her and her father had going for awhile.

 

"Hey daddy, would it be okay if you picked up a early morning brunchin at the Sugarcube Corner before we finally arrive at school?" she asked, despite the fact they already had breakfast, she then added, "I mean I know we already ate and all but I already worked up an appetite just keeping up with you." She grinned.

 

"It must be nice having long legs..." She muttered. "I can't wait to grow up!"

He didn't have much to do, having finished his charity a bit early. So, he was just wandering and looking for someone to talk to.

Because he was hungry, Wildcard decided to get something to eat. He spread his wings and started to fly along the street. After a few moments he encountered the group of ponies including Nightfall, Violet Minx and Mighty Force. He flew higher as he decided to watch them from the distance until he would have reached Sugarcube Corner.

Lavender obviously wasn't replying, so Esme walked out into the hallway and down the stairs, into the windy city of Chigacolt. She again flew into Ponyville, and headed towards Sugarcube Corner to talk to Pinkie Pie. She approached the bakery, but the hyperactive pink pony wasn't there. "Oh, well. I guess I could go clear the sky. Nopony else seems to be." She flew up, and was about the kick a fluffy white cloud, when she was interrupted by a lavender pony named Cloudchaser. "This is MY cloud! Go get your own." Esme landed back on the ground, surprised by this rude gesture. "I wish I had something to do..."

"Sweetie, we might be late as it is. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid we must get to school."

He smiled at her, hoping she would understand. He didn't want to disappoint her.

They spoke, and slowly, Violet's resentment for the ghastly old hoot was beginning to get the best of her. She ran up behind the old stallion and bucked his hind leg, right around the splint bone.

 

She then back flipped and in front of Nightfall shielding him.

Lavender stood there for a minute, not sure what to do. She looked down the block, just to see a group of stallions and a familiar filly talking. She stood there a few seconds longer, then heard a yell and looked over to her side, to see Esme landing just a few feet away. Lavender flew towards her saying "Hey, Esme, what's up?"

Finally, Motion was able to get a ticket to Ponyville, he got into the the train and got a spot close to the window.

 

The train rapidly started to get kind of packed, with a lot of ponies and lugagge.

 

after 20 more minutes, the train started to move.

 

Mixed feelings ran through Motion's mind. It was a mix of excitement and fear. He was thinking all about that while glancing at the train window.

"I'm really board. Like, seriously. MLH bores me because I've seen all the episodes. When are they coming out with season three?" Esme said to Lavender. "Eldich isn't any fun either, because she's off in Clawsington, visiting her parents. I can't even clear the sky, because somepony has already claimed it."

Nightfall, at first, wanted to be stern with Violet, but Mighty's response made him chuckle.

Wildcard still followed the group and took a closer look. His hunger was gone and his thoughts trailed off.

My second semester at university will begin soon and I still have to get some books from the library....well if I don't start a career as a guard instead....But the mare who owns the library is pretty cute, so I should go there anyway.

 

Wildcard smiled at the thought and then focused on the group of ponies in front of him again.

Esme sighed, and trotted toward Chigacolt, but stopped, and just started wandering around Ponyville, occupied with nothing but her own thoughts. She stopped in the library the return a book and say hi to Twilight, but she wasn't there. "Oh, well." The blue pegasus started thinking about what she could do. "Well, I could trot over to Trottinghem, or canter on to Canterlot..." She giggled. "Or maybe I could go to Cloudsdale, even though it's my day off... I'm so bored I actually WANT to go to work." Just then, Esme saw the large group coming towards her. "Oh, there's Violet! And her dad, and a couple other ponies." She followed them, and soon caught up.
