Toughbrony20 24 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 I seem to want to keep my MLP related web searches to a minimum because I always seem to run into a non-brony or even worse a anti-brony discussing the fandom. Now I wouldn't know much of other fans, but I'm more of a "casual" brony, meaning I'll just enjoy the show and maybe even buy one of those neat MLP shirts the Hot Topic sells. But as I was saying, these 'discussions' always mention how all bronies are disgusting cloppers and mainly watch the show because they are closet homosexuals and/or child molesters.it is at this point which I reflect on myself and think "is this really the fandom I truly want to be a part of?" Acoustic Cloud 2,202 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 well it's your choice to be apart of it... the truth of the matter is that most of us aren't homosexuals and child molesters... about 70% are straight males... I am.... I don't know why, but people just single the entire community out. I wouldn't fret it.
Flying Whales 311 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 I don’t know why you’d ever disassociate yourself the community because of the views of anti-bronies. You and I know their claims are extremely narrow and just plain false. 3 Signature Courtesy of Like A Boss
Ink 191 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 Are you a child molester or homosexual? No? Then you obviously realize these "haters" are wrong and just intent on finding a reason to hate us. If you don't want to associate yourself with the brony fandom because you don't want to meet any sort of hate online, that's fine, but I really think it's a bad choice - this fandom is awesome, staying out of it because of other people's opinions is stupid. 3 I frequently edit my new posts to fix grammatical errors or to reword stuff, so sorry if I make it look like I'm forging my messages to change the meaning of anyone's replies or something. Zerul 554 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 (edited) Meh.. Who cares what they say? They call teenage fans of Pokemon faggots all the time.Does that mean I will succumb to their words and shy away something I like? Not a chance. Regality 233 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 Don't worry about what others think, or especially what internet trolls, of you, but instead do what you want. If that involves not being part of this fandom, then so be it. If you allow your life to be dictated by the "crowd", you won't be as happy as you could be... ~~
Nouth 496 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 The decision of whatever do you want to be a part of fandom with such reputation is completely up to you. While it is a well known fact that majority of bronies are just regular people (I'd say normal if I did not believe normality is non-existant), the Internet seems to think otherwise. But well, there are intolerant and closet minded people out there, and always will be. Learning to ignore these people is one of the only ways to be happy on the Net. ~Lawful Jordo~ 2,066 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 (edited) The first thing you have to come to terms with being a brony is haters. Some people can ignore them, some people can't. I for one just laugh that kind of talk off because I know it's not true. You can't let people get to you when they're just being ignorant. I could sit here and call you a gay loser virgin, but I don't know you. You know that's not true, so why get offended? Of course, it's up to you if you want to be a brony or not, but there will be haters. Toughbrony20 24 September 4, 2012 Author Share September 4, 2012 I see what you mean, now as for the cloppers, I just simply wonder what attracts them to twilight sparkle in a sexual way, because I myself actually forget their suppose to be female (you should have seen my reaction when I hear twilight or dash say 'girls'). Don't get ahead of me, I enjoy hearing the reading of clop fics on YouTube mainly due to the guys reaction to some of the lines, namely "The Plague"

Just trust me. Now onto your main question, it is your choice if you want to associate with the fandom. Almost everything the haters and anti-bronies say about us are untrue. We don't know most of them and they don't know most of us, so if they want to shout off there opinions over the internet, so be it. I try not to let stuff like what they say bother me. Dxthegod 251 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 (edited) Most of the haters I've come across are people like "OMG PONYFAG KILL URSELF LOL QUEER" so I basically disregard them because their "arguments" are just so... dumb. Try to ignore all those close-minded haters, as only few are pure enough to experience eternal joy from such a show. Basically, the only reason one may dislike My Little Pony is simply because they haven't seen it. As for cloppers, I don't clop and I don't really care if other people do (I'm cool like that) but I still think it's a little bit weird. Then again I think anything to do with ... uh... porn... is a bit weird, so hopefully I'm not... offending anyone or something... Toughbrony20 24 September 4, 2012 Author Share September 4, 2012 Here is food for thought, I'm getting sick of people saying bronies will 'get over it' like it is some sort of fad. Well as a former anti-brony I don't think bronies are just people craving attention, because I was hypnotized into watching more episodes. This fan base is legitimate. I remember saying to myself "I'll just watch one episode and see what the fuss is about" next thing I know, 5 days later here I am on a mlp forum discussing with fellow bronies
Raritas 6,820 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 To be honest, I just think the haters are doing it for the attention, and because they don't understand the difference between this generation on MLP and the one 20 years ago Rainbows message "Sometimes I wish I could imagine myself 10 years from now, out of college, living life without boundaries. But, at the end of the day, it's just a step closer to the future. The future tends to unfold as it should... well, at least I think it does." - Kitty0706

silvadel 1,393 September 4, 2012 Share September 4, 2012 What I find odd about the haters is they also have to take an active interest in ponies to know what to hate -- otherwise they wouldn't even get half of what is out there. I think some of the haters are actually closet bronies who acting out against the community to cover up their own perceived weaknesses. Silvadel, the Pegasus of Insight.
