General Brony Fandom

I seem to want to keep my MLP related web searches to a minimum because I always seem to run into a non-brony or even worse a anti-brony discussing the fandom. Now I wouldn't know much of other fans, but I'm more of a "casual" brony, meaning I'll just enjoy the show and maybe even buy one of those neat MLP shirts the Hot Topic sells. But as I was saying, these 'discussions' always mention how all bronies are disgusting cloppers and mainly watch the show because they are closet homosexuals and/or child molesters.it is at this point which I reflect on myself and think "is this really the fandom I truly want to be a part of?"

Don't worry about what others think, or especially what internet trolls, of you, but instead do what you want. If that involves not being part of this fandom, then so be it. If you allow your life to be dictated by the "crowd", you won't be as happy as you could be...

The decision of whatever do you want to be a part of fandom with such reputation is completely up to you.

While it is a well known fact that majority of bronies are just regular people (I'd say normal if I did not believe

normality is non-existant), the Internet seems to think otherwise. But well, there are intolerant and closet minded

people out there, and always will be. Learning to ignore these people is one of the only ways to be happy on the Net.

The first thing you have to come to terms with being a brony is haters. Some people can ignore them, some people can't.

 

I for one just laugh that kind of talk off because I know it's not true.

 

You can't let people get to you when they're just being ignorant. I could sit here and call you a gay loser virgin, but I don't know you. You know that's not true, so why get offended?

 

Of course, it's up to you if you want to be a brony or not, but there will be haters.

I see what you mean, now as for the cloppers, I just simply wonder what attracts them to twilight sparkle in a sexual way, because I myself actually forget their suppose to be female (you should have seen my reaction when I hear twilight or dash say 'girls'). Don't get ahead of me, I enjoy hearing the reading of clop fics on YouTube mainly due to the guys reaction to some of the lines, namely "The Plague"

Now onto your main question, it is your choice if you want to associate with the fandom. Almost everything the haters and anti-bronies say about us are untrue. We don't know most of them and they don't know most of us, so if they want to shout off there opinions over the internet, so be it. I try not to let stuff like what they say bother me.

Most of the haters I've come across are people like "OMG PONYFAG KILL URSELF LOL QUEER" so I basically disregard them because their "arguments" are just so... dumb. Try to ignore all those close-minded haters, as only few are pure enough to experience eternal joy from such a show.

 

Basically, the only reason one may dislike My Little Pony is simply because they haven't seen it.

 

 

 

As for cloppers, I don't clop and I don't really care if other people do (I'm cool like that) but I still think it's a little bit weird. Then again I think anything to do with ... uh... porn... is a bit weird, so hopefully I'm not... offending anyone or something... D:

Here is food for thought, I'm getting sick of people saying bronies will 'get over it' like it is some sort of fad. Well as a former anti-brony I don't think bronies are just people craving attention, because I was hypnotized into watching more episodes. This fan base is legitimate. I remember saying to myself "I'll just watch one episode and see what the fuss is about" next thing I know, 5 days later here I am on a mlp forum discussing with fellow bronies

... They're very obviously female. :I How can you forget that? lol

 

I've met a few people who didn't realize RD was a girl, that's understandable enough since she's a tomboy, but reeeally, Twilight has such a girly voice.

What I find odd about the haters is they also have to take an active interest in ponies to know what to hate -- otherwise they wouldn't even get half of what is out there. I think some of the haters are actually closet bronies who acting out against the community to cover up their own perceived weaknesses.
