Ganaram's Backlog of Drawings [September 2012]

July, August, and September.

 

That's been a really rough time for me in an emotional sense, and more recently, in a respiratory sense. I dare not get into the gory details as to why it's been rough, considering that some of you may already know.

 

In that time period, though, I did end up creating a backlog of unposted drawings. Vector drawings. Yes, vector.

 

I've only been able to select four of them to share here, and here they are:

 

Who's this character? Gem. One of my old characters from when I first joined. I had her decommisioned, recommisioned, and redone. Remember? (You probably don't, but here's a refresher. That thread's from January, and was my very first art thread here.)

 

Well, how about something more relevant?

 

This was originally supposed to be something for Jadefire, as a birthday gift, but I never gotten to finishing it. Well, better late than never...

 

Here, I wanted to draw something rather silly: Electrobolt hiding behind Ganaram's computer case. For the record, I do have a computer like that. It's just empty.

 

Finally, there's this. Prior to my "disappearance", this was designated as my avatar and signature. That was nearly three weeks ago.

Wow, these are good, man!

Loving the wallpaper for its simplicity. Even if its not finished, it looks just fine to me.

My favorite has to be the one with Electrobolt hiding behind your computer case! With the right face, it would be purrfect!

Also, I never figured out the reference you were making with the nightstand. What was that about?

Heh, although I might be biased, I love the one with me hidden behind your computer x3 It's like ceiling cat, only with a pony, hiding behind your computer instead of in your ceiling! But seriously, I love these vectors, man... Keep it up! :3

I have to say that I loved them all, the resemblance with the show's characters is incredible, inpeccable. The characters seems to have a strong background that I would like to see... (yeah I know you wrote a biography or something XD , but still)

I'll try doing a collective reply here.

 

First, with the Ganaram-Electrobolt-Case thing, that was more of an inquisitive look, not so much a "Ceiling Cat is watching you whatever" kind of deal. If you wanna think of it that way, I'll probably wanna expand on that idea..

 

As of "critical detail", that's something that's just hardwired into me; I just have to get it all dead-accurate.

 

As of backstory, there's an inherently large backstory behind that no single picture will ever describe... (Hint hint.)

 

Then there's the nightstand. There was a Youtube Poop by cs188 that parodied an Enimem song in which Lil Wayne's lines were sentence mixed into saying "Married to the nightstand", with a picture of an actual nightstand with cs188's dramatic chipmunk avatar in a picture frame atop said nightstand. I won't post the vid because it's rather NSFW, but the nightstand that I drew bears striking resemblance to both the illustrations found in the actual show (I used the nightstand from when Rainbow Dash was hospitalised as reference) and the nightstand I'm talking about.

Second pic: Awesome sauce! I do kinda like minimalist, or otherwise simple backgrounds, so this one should work nicely. Thanks muchly for that. :3

 

Third pic: I declare NyanElectrobolt to be a new meme.

 

Fourth: So, Ganaram's getting married to a nightstand, that has a photo of Ganaram on it. Am I the only one tempted to do a Yo Dawg/Inception joke here? x3

 

All in all, very good work, and I'm especially loving the wallpaper. :3 If there's one thing I have to say, it's...I DEMAND MOAR! x3

These are all really awesome. The wallpaper is amazing, and they all are spot on with the show. You did a really really good job on these.
