Whelp.

Heres my second attempt at drawing a pony.

post-6061-0-87881100-1347718103_thumb.jpg This is my OC Shade.

Any tips and pointers will be very appreciated.

(Forgot her cutie mark xD)

Try changing the eyes

Yea her eyes are meant to be that small due to shock, believe it or not her eyes are red in color just due to crappy picture quality its hard to see.

As for shading well honestly I really haven't figured out how to make it look right yet.

I would start by shading the legs closest to the back; since her other legs are in the front, they'd be darker, wouldn't you agree? Besdes that it looks fine, and for merely a second attempt it's even better, but then again it is also a bit bland. Shading does wonders for drawings, even really crappy ones look better when they have good shading because it adds a sort of "believability".

That's a good drawing for a second attempt. If you want some constructive criticism, I'd say the hooves are a little stiff, they need a little more "plastic"

and your OC's rear leg looks a bit weird to me but that's all

It looks pretty good. Your art style reminds me of Speedy Transition's (banned user :<) style of art. You oc even has the same hat, haha!

I noticed that the back legs look a little bit short. You can see what I mean when you look at this comparison below.

Also as you can see at the image above, the leg is too thin at the bottom. Pony legs are usually a little bit thinner at the top as you can see on the twi pic.

But your drawing looks really good anyways :)

I like the style you used.

It doesn't have to look show accurate (heck, my style isn't even close).

Everything seems to be proportionate, and sure, the back leg is smaller than a real MLP pony's, but I personally like that. It makes it unique. I say keep the style you're using.

It's ironic how I fall just to get back up again...
