And hello guys, I'm back with some proposed feedback that I'd like to get your opinion on. Hopefully, this will help make your roleplay experiences a bit smoother! I was talking with with beloved techchicken Scoots the other day, and he mentioned the possibility of adding a few extra extensions to Roleplay World. And naturally, since I love you guys and everything, I was intrigued.

 

So! After a bit more discussion, here's a few of the proposed implementations that just may happen in the future (keep your hooves crossed!). They include:

 

 

 

Easier management options for the DM (such as limiting posts per day of each player, or time between posts, etc).

 

Custom character limits (!!!) for each individual roleplay.

 

An ability to optionally swap your username (!!!) from what it is now to the name of the character you're roleplaying as (which would change between roleplays, of course).

 

 

These changes, sadly, aren't going to happen this week, or the next. Perhaps not even by the end of October, though we certainly do try. Please understand that these sorts of changes take lots of time, effort, and frustration to pop out, so make sure to give props to Scoots for all of the hard work he's putting into here!

 

And, last but not least, I do want all of your input! ^^ Pleasepleaseplease leave a comment below - additional implementation suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm fine with changing the DM, it would make life much easier. I would rather prefer the time between each RP post than the limit per day.

 

Custom character limits are awesome, I hope this happens sooner than later.

 

I wouldn't care much about swapping my username, I wouldn't do it much.

 

Overall, I think it's a good step to be taking.

I'm actually excited for these new changes. I've been getting recently into roleplaying, and this will definitely help (hopefully, my plan is to increase my RPing skillz a bit and then join one of Scoot's)

As much as i am open to many things.

 

I like the DM thing and I like the post idea (though i can see a DM screwing a role play over with such strict posting but thats a risk there willing to take I guess)

 

Though i find username change for a role play a bit gimmicky and i wouldn't do it. But i can see it being fun for the first few weeks of it being put in.

 

I hope you don't mind me giving you feed back and what i think of the ideas! Just a RP section is my home... if you couldn't tell x3

These changes sound really useful - I was thinking yesterday about giving the DM a few more options like char. Limits and things...

Also, the name change would be so useful - keeping track of who's who often becomes quite difficult by day 2...

This sounds pretty awesome, I really would like this to happen, I was also wondering if ya'll could add another subforum for roleplaying tips to give to the newer RP'ers

Im not sure how much this would effect the RP I'm in Right now (The Good King). The thing should be Advanced, but we're holding off on that for now.

 

Hmm, DM limits? Well, if I join a New RP, this might come in handy because sometimes they go RIDICULOUSLY fast, because everypony posts so short compared to me . So, i think this might come in handy for me.

 

CUSTOM CHARACTER LIMITS!? I WUB YOU. (seriously, it would really help. Some RPs are better with shorter posts, and Others with longer ones...)

 

....Swapping usernames RPs..... *mind blows* that would be AWESOME! How do you do it?

Hm, if I could add anything, I think if we do a large post, we should get a Post count for that post. I know we have advanced RPs for that, but still.... it'd be nice to have it in the Normal RP area for those who occasionally make Giant Posts

Those seem like very good changes and ideas and I look forward to seeing them implemented in the future. keep up the good work!

Now how will we change the username for in the rp, will the dm be in charge or the participants/rp'ers?

I also look forward to the custom character limits because I am trying to challenge myself to post longeer posts and this will be very handy especially as sorta stepping stones from short post rp'ers to advanced rp.
