I've played WoW on and off since beta, i most recently quit in WOD as all i did was log on and do my dailies and sit in my garrison, does anyone think its worth re-subbing right now or should i wait until the next expansion?

Depends if you have a guild to do raids with. Raiding is the only part of the game that is currently in a good state. Other than that, not really.

Likewise to the above, it depends if you have friends to enjoy it with. Unless there is something that you want to do in-character like wrap up a story arc.

I unsubbed until expansion. It's just World of Garrisons atm.

Which to be honest, sounds pretty cool for one who has always wanted for his toon to have a place to call his own and not just the place where I log out when I RP the character going to sleep.

True. My main is the equivalent to a conscientious objector in the war between the Alliance and the Horde so a military base is not what he would call home. Rather, if I must be an authority figure in the garrison, I would be the abbot of a temple where monks would come to learn, train, and live.

 

I can just picture myself now with the flowing robe, long beard, and prayer beads. Just walking the beautiful grounds. *sigh*

If my tauren druid had to be the authority in a garrison, she would've had semi-hidden nature spot for druids.  A wooden spear with feathers and leaves tied to it, runes carved into it, a robe of leaves and skin collected from a hunt.  lD

Blizzard gave us the garrison to have a practical base to fight from... but WoW fans hate practicality and after 11 years they should have known.

 

I just want to give my poor undead priest a little place he can call home, maybe something similar to what he had when he was alive. ;_;

Well we have the garrisons, that's better than nothing. And the class halls will improve a sense of character individuality with the new expac.

But that will be more of a base and they have yet to say anything about customizability. Which is a requirement for a home.

 

Oh and btw some specs will be TOTTALY reworked.

Survival hunters will become a melle class and Disipline priest will become a hybrid healer and dps. Demonolgy warlocks will depend less on the demon form thingie and be more about controlling masses of demons.

I pray that blizzard will make this work because it sounds soo damn cool!

The survival artifact will be a spear. So they will use their spear and pet to deal damage.

Wow dude you placed your engineering works on the other side of the road compared to me? COOL!

For real, they are hardly customizable, you don't feel at home there. Most people only feel lost. That is kinda why 5 million people left the game.

They could just give us some cool looking rewards like toys, furniture etc and it would almost feel like a home.

Good point. The soldiers have the barracks and the guests had the travern. But we did not even get a coffin to sleep in. xD

I think the assumption is we sleep in the town hall or something. There's also an inn, can't you ask your own innkeeper to make the garrison your heathstone home?

True.  With everything said, I'm interested in seeing how these "class halls" will turn out.  What do you personally think they will look like (I don't know if there are already snapshots and I'm too lazy to look them up)?

6.2 will be the last WOD update... They said it themselves....

This expansion cost WoW 5 million players. Many will probably never come back.

You can feel what you want but the garrison simplified too much for most players, that and the apexis crystal dailies.

This expansion was the poorest one content wise and we will hopefully forget that WoD ever happened with the next expansion coming.

Let's not dwell so much on what made the past expansions poor.  Let's remember what was improved on and hope that Legion will be even better than the last.

Garrisons turned out horrible in my opinion. I will not miss them. I like the idea of class halls, though, and sending champions off to find an area, come back, and allow you to go there and discover, maybe fight some tough monsters and get some nice gear, and maybe some gold, or find a quest for your class. Also, if they add treasures, I hope they're simple stuff like cosmetics or gold, and hard to find, and rare mobs should be rare.
